Yeah. It would not be a good sign for episode 7 to start, and then hear someone read the text that's right there for you to read.

No, they can do whatever for the spin off movies, but the episodic series should have the same theme, throughout.

Same here. I'm pretty sure the Family Guy parodies did not read the text to you, but it's been awhile since I've seen them.

The Family Guy parodies do not have a narration, but if you read what the text says, it definitely is written in the style of Peter Griffin's voice and character the way he goes off topic about an Angelina Jolie nude scene. It is impossible to read that and not think of his voice reading it.

Abrams should totally offer him a role in Star Wars for saying that.
I'd love to see him playing a rebel general or something. :D

Perhaps people read it in a serious Captain Kirk sort of way rather than a real-life William Shatner sort of way.

My only question is what kind of role will Han (as well as Luke and Leia) have? If it's a substantial role, that's great. If it's a cameo appearance where they show up and say "hey new kids, here's the torch" then I'd rather they didn't bother.

    Scruffy-looking Nerf Herder, check.

I'm hoping for something in the middle -- more than a two-minute cameo, but not starring roles, either. I love the original cast, but they can't carry the movie(s) completely by themselves, and this stage in the game. Their characters need to be there, and be important to the plot, but they still need to be support to whoever this new generation is going to be.

I wouldn't see a contract negotiation for a cameo. Seems like it would be a lot simpler. I see them being strong supporting characters.
