They had the cast of Star Wars the Force Awakens on Jimmy Kimmel last night that included Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, and JJ Abrahms. R2D2 also was there and Harrison Ford and Chewbacca were in a pre-recorded sketch.

Kimmel asked JJ what the first word in the movie is. JJ clarified the question by asking "The first spoken word?" indicating that we will probably have the traditional scrolling credits at the beginning of the movie. But JJ did answer the question saying that the first spoken word in the movie is "THIS" lol ooooo I know. Kimmel then jumped on board the conspiracy train by pointing out that if you rearrange the letters of "THIS" it spells out "SITH" and does that mean anything in the movie? JJ of course, declined to answer.

Let's see how this plays out, given our only PG-13 Star Wars was RotS.

 

It doesn't take much to get a PG-13 rating nowadays. I bet that A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back would get the same ratings if they were released today.

You're probably right. The ratings board has become much more sensitive.
Believe it or not, the original Planet of the Apes was rated G. And it's full of stuff that would freak a little kid out, along with multiple instances of the word "damn."

I never really understood ROTS's PG-13 rating. A bunch of Jedi die bloodlessly? The implied slaughter of younglings? Anakin gets his legs cut off? That's nothing. Ponda Baba's arm cutting in ANH was bloodier, and that movie was PG (granted, the PG-13 rating didn't exist at the time, but I still don't think it would have gotten it).

 

I've been told the script has been leaked online. Is there any veracity to that?
