Yea I was like Chewie should look a bit older. From the trailer he didn't age at all. I was hoping for a little grey in his fur.

I was thinking more along the lines of realism of the materials. Actually now that I think of it, it's probably because Mayhew is in the suit again. In Revenge they changed the suit to make it more comfortable for the guy so it only makes sense they would do the same here. I think the original was yak hair and super hot/heavy and the newer suit is synthetic.

Anyway, I'm not nitpicking or complaining, it was just something I noticed.

Does anyone actually NEED to be told that THE MOST ANTICIPATED MOVIE EVER debuting during one of THE BIGGEST movie premiere seasons just MIGHT do Avatar numbers?!?

It's Star Wars and comes out against no competition (no real competition anyways), so there's no mystery as to why it'll do so well. I just hope it's actually deserving of it's inevitable financial success.

Considering Mayhew cannot stand for long periods of time, much less run, I think he probably was not in the full suit for very long. It wouldn't surprise me if he only did close ups and another tall guy was used for the wide shots.

The trailers have gotten an insane amount of views and a fantastic reception. Star Wars is probably the franchise with the most fans, and it has fans from pretty much every generation. With the original cast returning, I think it will definitely set some records. I think it will probably make more than Age of Ultron in the long run.

You're saying "it is holy shit" ?

It should go beyond AVATAR, hopefully it will reach AVENGERS or DOTM numbers (both of which cracked a billion).

Well, I feel all of the films have been deserving of success. The dialog and stories can be a little overboard, but there's no denying these are wonderful space operas with incredible characters and wonderful stories.

At Celebration some people noticed that on the display stand for Rey's speederbike instead of her name the card said her name was actually
Kira. According to these IGN guys there was also a casting list that said who was playing who, and on the list it said something akin to Kira Rey. Now, take this with a large amount of salt, but I think Rey and Ren might be brother and sister (Kylo Ren/Kira Rey). The names are just like how we got Luke and Leia.

Speaking of the princess, since Finn crashes onto Jakuu where Rey is living, I think it's safe to assume that Rey is the daughter of Han and Leia, since we got an image that was shown for a split second at Celebration of Rey and Finn running towards the open ramp of the Falcon
. What do you guys think? Is this plausible?

And this is the return of the biggest franchise in the world, after a decade or so of thinking it was done and gone, and it looks like it'll be damn good. Making Avatar money is definitely on the table; it's definitely making over a billion.

$3 billion? Well, that's big bucks, but it's not impossible for this.

I'm not disagreeing that it will be successful, but look at what I quoted.

The quotes implies that Avatar didn't do as well as Avengers and DOTM.

Not really. QLR said that while it should go beyond Avatar's numbers, he hopes it at least does as well as Avengers and DOTM.
