Here is another one for you. The Red Stripes on his pants- They are Blood stripes he earned while in service with Imperial Navy. It was the only military decoration left after he was court martialed and dishonorably discharged by the Empire. It was a traditional uniform award, not a Galatic Military award. It was mentioned that he recieved his blood stripes for an event against wookies - so that might lay the groundwork for why Han was so willing to rescue Chewie - almost to make amends for something.

Pretty much the same idea as the Blood Stripe on US Marine Corps Class A uniforms.

I knew that. It's a perfect story for a movie.

I'd love to hear the pitch for that one...... "see, it's going to be about Han Solo's pants" :D

Why even bother with more Jedi stuff? What I loved most about the orginal trilogy was how creative it was, always something new and going in unexpected directions. Lets have a look at an area that's doesn't exist yet in the star wars universe. No Empire, Jedi, Rebels, Bounty Hunters, Sith, or what ever..... something new.

I hear the Outer Rim territories are nice this time of yea, lol. I know its not exactly what you were looking for, but the rumor is that the Boba Fett Spin-off will focus on the Star Wars Underworld, mob , different clans and factions etc.

You should try watching the last 4 episodes of season 5. That kind of feels more of an ending than Sacrifice and the episodes preceding it did.

Yeah, I'm a bit confused about that. I've read most of the books in the expanded universe and have never come across any mention of this.

EDIT: Just looked on wookieepedia and it says in his bio he has a cybernetic eye, and it's source is from the novel Crucible (which I have not read) The plot summery on that book mentions Scarn a Mandalorian had a cybernetic eye, but no mention of Han Solo having one. Anyone who has read this novel able to say if it is also mentioned that Han has one too?

Is that still canon? That is a detail no one would notice in the movies and would have to read about.

Did Lucas himself ever state Han had a cybernetic eye? Because if not, then it does not count, especially since it is not mentioned in the movies.

Why do you post in a Star Wars thread again when you don't believe in practically any of the SW lore?

Because I like the Star Wars movies and last I looked, this thread was titled "Star Wars Episode VII" not "Star Wars Lore". Also, why should I believe in lore that has already been debunked? I just want to know if this is something Lucas said was official or not.

Statements by creators have no bearing on whether or not something is canon.

If it's not in the 6 movies or TCW then it's not canon. Of course, if it were to be brought up again in the future for whatever reason then I guess it would be.

I'm pretty sure it is, since you know, they created the universe.

No, Crucible is not canon. It was in the old books well after Jedi. While none of those were canon officially before, now they are really not canon.

Unless you just hate the prequels, it makes sense for Morrison to be Boba since that is who he'll grow into.

Yes yes, I know the EU isn't canon now and was of dubious authority before, but I was just trying to figure out were MetalicGrunt came up with his claim of Han Solo having a cybernetic left eye.

While I am excited for the new movies, I feel a bit disappointed that I spent all that time and money on the almost 100 books that I purchased and read. I liked most of the stories, but now that all of it is thrown out the window....well, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

But that wasn't true before the prequels existed, so, it's not (just) hate for the prequels, but preference for what came before them...

I still don't understand this thinking. If you enjoyed all those EU stories, then they still have value, to you.

I have a lot of comics that haven't been in continuity for decades, but I still own them and enjoy them.
