It doesn't specifically say the CGI Clone Wars series. It just says Clone Wars series, which can be either one.

However, does the CGI Clone Wars end with Palpatine being kidnapped and Grievous having his chest crushed? If not, then I just don't see how the Gennedy ones can not be canon. I want to believe you, it would give me a reason to get rid of some more DVDs, but those two moments in the Gennedy series make it impossible for it to not be canon.

Of course, if it could be it was eliminated because it put everything the prequels did themselves to shame. Those 25 episodes were vastly superior to the three movies and the CGI series combined, and I loved RotS and a lot of AotC.

It says Star Wars: THE Clone Wars, not Star Wars: Clone Wars. That's the difference. And did you miss the interview above? Genndy himself acknowledges it isn't canon.

And lol at saying the Genndy version is better than the CGI version.

Cool, thanks. Even less reason to think she'll show up in the new film then.

Still hope to see her on Rebels, though.

I think Assaj is way more likely than Ahsoka to appear.

I didn't give up on the Genndy version a few episodes in. The CGI was bland. The stories were more about Anakin and his bratty twat of an apprentice. The series barely even featured the clones (in fact, the best episode WAS the one that focused solely the clones). When I watch a series called Clone Wars, I expect to be watching battles with clones. Not whiny Jedi brats that have to save the day every episode. I stopped watching the show about halfway through Season 1 as it was just down right boring.

Then you missed out on a ton of episodes that had clones in them seeing as I have all the blu rays up to Season 5. I'm just waiting on Season 6 to be released as it's supposed to be the last one. But that's ok though :)  You just basically said you have little to no patience for things so I won't tell you about those awesome episodes :D

You can skip the first two seasons of Clone Wars in my opinion with the exception of a few standout episodes with the clones and Cad Bane. Season 3 is when it started to get consistently interesting for me.

I'm just not that big of a Star Wars fan, honestly. I love the original trilogy, I like a lot of AotC and RotS, but everything else is meh to me.

And I shouldn't have to sit through 50 episodes for a show to get good. Why would I want to watch a show that takes 16 hours to get good when I can watch something I like within the first hour or two?

The issue with that is it means I'm skipping stories and character introductions just to get to the good stuff. See above for the rest of that argument.

Now was I planning to give Clone Wars another go? Yes. However, with the series' cancellation that changed as it means it will never have a proper ending. Plus, it sounds like Disney may be removing the entire prequels from continuity anyway.

Removing the prequels was more than likely just a fanboy rumor, nothing else. And both Season 5 and Season 6's finales more than adequately felt like excellent endings to the series.

I wouldn't be against Disney redoing eps 1-3. It's not like the Lucas films will magicly disapear. Though being a total hypocrite, I'd burn down the internet if they tried to do the same thing with the orginal trilogy. :D

    Heh, nice.

Still, given enough time, I wouldn't be surprised if Disney rebooted the whole damn thing. Because, like you said, it's not like those films will magically disappear.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing an edited down version of AotC that takes out most of Whinykin's dialog with Amidala.

That's not hypocritical at all. It's simply acknowledging that one side of Star Wars is good and another side is really fucking awful that needs to be extinguished.

Yawn at how the Episode VII thread has turned into yet another prequel bashing thread. Again.

I watched Episode I last night and rather enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to Episodes II and III later this week. Haters waste a lot of time hating.

I saw a photo of Harrison Ford on some kind of crutch/brace/peg leg thing. He isn't back in the States, he's still in London. I'll bet he can resume filming in a few weeks. No need for rewrites or long production delays.
