    2019 has started.

Time for more hype for episode 9.

Legit think they should call it Knights of Ren and make it about them terrorizing both the Republic and the First Order.

Good! I didn’t really care for TLJ taking place right after TFA, even if it was, well, necessary considering where it left off. At least for Rey and Luke. I always hate when there’s no time skip after a substantial period between releases.

TLJ was the only one in the saga set right after the previous chapter.

Yeah, I agree. I mean, there are some cases where it works (like Lord of the Rings), but I didn't really care for it in TLJ.

Of course. I just don’t feel like it really works when gaps between movies are two to three years in real life. I like feeling like time has passed, that this is the first time we’ve seen x character in two years all the same. Especially something that gets as much hype in between releases as Star Wars.

...in both previous trilogies, the gap between the first and second films are longer than the gap between the second and third. o_O

Walked into TLJ predicting how great it was gonna be.

Won't make that same mistake again.

I think it’s a good amount of time to leave us hungry and guessing as sure the last Jedi wasn’t to everyone’s tastes but to it’s merit it sure did confound a lot of our expectations of the middle one in a trilogy and left the possibilities for the next one well and truly open.

I agree this is the first time a SW triology has been this open. Lots of interesting things can happen.

when do you think the name title for Episode 9, will be announced to the public, do you think it will be announced before SW Celebration Convention next spring, next April?

We got TLJ’s title in January 2017 so I think it’s a safe bet for this month.

Celebration is too close to the release. There's too high a chance that some kind of merch (and thus the name) will have leaked. Disney can control it if it's in January.
