These are all true facts. Still doesn’t change the fact that I enjoyed all the new Star Wars movies a lot. If the franchise dies, then it dies but I won’t be wearing black armbands for it.

It's a tough call for me. Since they were conceived by Lucas, I consider them more as being real Star Wars, while the Disney stuff is like cinematic EU. So they have that going for them. But they're so incredibly poorly executed. In terms of a list of plot points on paper, I guess I would prefer the prequels. But in terms of movies I actually have to sit and watch, anything is better than Attack of the Clones. It's the BvS of Star Wars.

When I hear that Lucas didn't even want to direct the prequels and only decided to direct all three after Ron Howard turned down Phantom Menace, I want to punch Opie in the throat. What could have been... Other directors might have at least tweaked dialogue on set, and might have known how to block dialogue scenes, direct actors, etc. It's painful to think about.

I don't think they're as bad as all that, but other directors could definitely have made the same stories more palatable to a wider range of viewers. That would have been a good thing.

The only Star Wars thing thinner then Solo's profit margin at this point are the excuses for clickbait articles.

Eh...I'm sure we'll all see when the time comes. "Empty robe" could just mean Mark doesn't feel like Luke's really even in the movie...even though the character is. Or...he's joking.

Maybe since TLJ featured Jake Skywalker, this movie will have Larry Skywalker

Too bad Han died. He could have been Mo, and Chewbacca could have been Curly.

They started shooting? That's cool, but I'm surprised there wasn't much fanfare for it, like a picture of the film slate on Twitter or something. Guess they're laying low after recent reactions.

While I personally think it would be cool if the rumor that Lucas helped with the script was true, it's highly unlikely.

They probably had him read over it quickly and cut any scenes that made his eyes bulge.
