I've probably said it before but what if they get her daughter to take the role? Age her with makeup and cut the role down bit. Figure fans would approve of Carrie's own daughter playing Leia.

No. First off, there was a lot more that was broken in TFA's plot than just unanswered questions. You even quoted where I mention that. Second, the questions aren't merely unanswered. They're raised to tease the audience without ever having an answer in mind. That's a lazy cheat and an all-around lousy thing to do. And the problem isn't TFA. It's that Abrams consistently does these things in every movie or TV series where he's in charge of the writing process. No matter what Johnson may have done to set things back on course, Abrams will just fuck it up again, because it's him. He has no desire or ability to build a decent plot. I have no more interest in where the story's going now that I know it's not going anywhere in particular at all.

 

I heard a while ago when Carrie died that a legit person who was being looked at to possibly replace her for Ep9 was Stevie Nicks

Well, there are only so many possible options. Since Disney doesn't plan to digitally recreate her (again), the options are:
Recast her
Try to shoehorn as much repurposed archival footage as possible in place of new footage
Write her off-screen and forget her

 

I hate to say this, but I feel like with JJ, that third choice is actually a potential option.
