True, but I did like TFA. So I think it willat the least still be enjoyable. I'm not asking for it to be perfect because I know it won't be the most perfect ending movie ever. But I think it will be good. I do have higher expectations for TLJ.

Am i the only one who's finding it really hard to care about this Ep IX director news? Ep VIII hasn't even come out yet, we have basically no idea what this goddamn movie is even going to be about, and yet everyone is losing their shit over this movie that won't be out for another two years.

    Whatever, JJ's cool i guess.

    I'm okay with this.

Now, this on the other hand:

    This I have concerns.

Granted, Kennedy would've had to hire him in the first place, but I would've loved to have seen the tantrum Bay would've thrown when Kennedy inevitably fired his ass.

I'm happy with J.J. Was concerned about the original choice for Episode IX.

    I think TFA was great.

I think Ford felt Indiana Jones was a much more human, layered character than Han Solo. Han Solo was great in New Hope and Empire, but by the time they made Jedi, not so much. Even with as many times as I've watched it, I can't tell if it's more to do with the writing or the way Ford delivered his lines, but Han Solo was a hollow cartoon character in Jedi.

Probably both, considering Kasdan and Ford both wanted the character gone. But he's also got a much less central role in RotJ to begin with. So there's less opportunity for him to shine, even if he'd been written and portrayed with the same enthusiasm as before.

    That's an Internet hoax, right?

Otherwise, I'd like to see Bay do a single, throw away Star Wars film.

    Visually it'd be stunning.
Plot wise, it'd probably be numbing.

I think it was a combination of writing and directing. Jedi is my least favorite of the original trilogy.

LOL so glad this isn't real. Though I think he may do a decent job on a Boba Fett movie. Bounty hunter, gadgets, space battles, 'splosions. Yeah I can see it. Don't worry, there will be no dialogue.
