I understand Hasbro's reasoning behind the Transformers Crossovers toys being Star Wars characters in robot mode, as they want to have both the iconic vehicles and the characters, but I find a lot of the time, having a character as the robot mode just looks goofy. Robotic heads sculpted to look like actors? Weird.

I think I would like the line a lot more if they were Transformers characters. I don't know if this is viable or not though because of licensing reasons or something, because that stuff is weird.

But why not have Transformers characters turn into Star Wars ships? Why not make Cybertron a planet in the Star Wars galaxy, and maybe even have Transformers that are Jedi! Have comic books based around the subject, etc. I think it would be all kinds of cool.

    Slave 1: Lockdown
    AATs: Brawl and Swindle
    MTT: Onslaught
    Vulture Droids: Vortex and Blast-Off
    A-wings: Slingshot and Skydive
    Y-Wing: Silverbolt
    X-Wings: Fireflight and Air Raid
    Millennium Falcon: Optimus Prime
    Imperial Shuttle: Megatron
    Naboo Starfighter: Bumblebee
    Flash Speeder: Hound
    Speeder-Bikes: Vehicons
    TIE Bomber: Lugnut
    TIE Fighters: Seekers

And a Darth Vader that turns into a scorpion.

If you get that joke I applaud you.

I just wish they'd make some more - with the 3D versions of the Movies out regularly the lack of them irritates me badly.

Sometimes they show up in the UK - but only very rarely and It means I'm missing several of the better ones as it is.

Never happen because of licensing. And remember, if Hasbro did do that, they would require Lucasfilm/Disney's permission to ever use them again, even if the license eventually went to another company.

Rather they do that with some Transformers gijoe crossovers.

In house Hasbro brands can take a lot more design libertys.

and Hopefully a Transformers Micronauts crossover.

Star Wars doesn't want to properly share the spotlight with another franchise. So it's Star Wars vehicles that change into robots of Star Wars characters. They're often poorly designed too. So where's the appeal in the deal for Transformers fans? We're not really getting any respect shown to our franchise.

Sometimes their robot characters? Magna Guard droid and battle droids.

    Giant Robots of their robots.

I'd like a IG-88 star wars transformers, or that crazy animated series one the IG Lancer.

People have been asking for this for a long time. Sadly I don't think Lucas' licensing would allow it. I'd love to see Optimus Prime as a Turbo Tank or Jetfire as an X-Wing.

If it was the Transformers design team that handled the Crossovers lines, maybe. But it's the Star Wars team that designs those. Same with the Marvel Crossovers, it was Marvel's team doing the work on them, and not the Transformers group.

I wish they bring back the mini pilot figures! (I have to say it every time I think of SWTF.)
If they try to make a recognisable TF character in robot mode, there might be some design changes necessary to vehicle mode, and Star Wars franchise wouldn't allow that.

As it is Turbo Tank/Cody can be made into a Transformer character? That one is a shellformer and bot parts don't show in vehicle anyway.
