It's even more satisfying seeing Sidious kill Windu now.
Looking at the Ahsoka novels, I think how it plays out was that Ahsoka had a chance to kill Maul during the Siege of Mandalore, but doesn't because she has to leave to save Rex. She and Rex escape, and she buries her lightsabers. They go their separate ways, and Ahsoka basically bouces around backwater planets for a while doing similar stuff to the sisters arc this season. She eventually winds up meeting Senator Organa, and then takes up the Fulcrum mantle and this leads to rebels
That book WAS considered canon, although it would be fair for them to retcon some of it. We already are deviating from it
We know Ahsoka, Maul and Rex escape that Venator. How long that takes and how much we get of that aftermath is up in the air
Also, I wonder if we get a few moments back on Mandalore. Presumably there are still clones there, who are effectively now imperial stormtroopers. Gar Saxon eventually is installed as the imperial puppet leader, with some mandalorians joining the empire outright. The darksaber makes its way back to maul somehow.
I am also where we place the Mandalorian flashbacks. In those scenes, we see Deathwatch commandos on some unknown planet defeating a droid army - this has to be before the Siege, right? Din Djarin is basically a kid at that point, so he's probably around mid 30's at the time of the Mandalorian series (19 years from ROTS to ANH, then 5 years from ROTJ to Mandalorian). During Rebels he'll be in his 20's, presumably an armored mandalorian and part of a smaller clan at a secondary mandalorian outpost. At some point he also has adventures with a pirate or other criminal crew and then becomes a bounty hunter living on Nevarro
Counterpoint: I admit someone pointed out that Mace is literally discussing overthrowing the chancellor which if gone wrong could spell doom for them (at least in a situation where Sidious hadn’t already rigged it to be a total victory). So yeah I guess it makes sense from a paperwork point of view to not have Ahsoka in there. But still, Mace is a pretentious dick.
Holy shit the sisters arc really is just the novel but shittier. I think I realize now why that arc stood out as so boring and bad: I'd read it already, just way better.
On IMDB, for the highest rated of all time TV episodes, The Phantom Apprentice has lost its 4th place position to Shattered.

Big fucking kudos to the Clone Wars team.
Mace is probably jealous that Ashoka was the one who finally captured Maul and she just going "nah I am no Jedi just a good citizen". Just think how bitter he was that some kid who not even a Jedi anymore was the one who defeated Maul where Jedi masters like Qui-Gon Jinn and Adi Gallia are dead because of this monster. (Yes Savage killed Gallia but was under Maul during the time).
Since he thinks the Jedi are the end of all be all of good I bet he was irked who came the closet to getting Maul and brining him in for questioning.
By extension, maybe he thought that killing Sidious by his own hand would bring a big win under his belt for once?
Now that you say that it adds so much to him fighting Sidious in ROTS. Now when I watch Episode III it will have a brand new context behind Windu wanting to kill Sheev!

Ahsoka needs to get some credit for her lightsaber skill. Beat numerous mandalorians throughout clone wars, beat Maul here, clowned all the inquisitors, stalemated with Maul (Kanan eventually beat him) at Malachor; stalemated Vader at Malachor and survived against Emperor in the World Between Worlds. For a padawan she has come pretty far!
Ugh, I was 29.
Great episode, as I figured it would be, but maybe it's me, but this episode had a kind of Blade Runner vibe to it.
Agreed. I also felt the score reminded me of Vangelis's contribution to the original Blade Runner. I believe it was an appropriate tone considering how bleak the situation was for Ahsoka and the eventual fates of all Jedi involved. Have not really checked out prior seasons, but eagerly looking forward to the last episode.
@BlueJaigEyes on Twitter: "Here’s a small piece of footage from #TheCloneWars series finale, which will air on Monday, 5/4. It appeared in #DisneyPlus’ May 2020 video
Should have included this scene in the series and shortened Ashoka's 4 episode arc a bit
Leaked scenes watch while you can
Apparently it’s already live in New Zealand, so that’s probably where all these leaks are coming from.
I'm not watching anything until ti airs. I don't want to be spoiled.
11 hours 'til the end, Split. We've waited years for this. We can make it.
Using a VPN to stream from Australia or some other ripper will let you watch the episode
No spoilers here
The animation here is again just . . .stunning. Next level. They pushed the boundaries of visual effects here, its is INCREDIBLE.
You can quibble that they didn't shotgun in more stuff, but the focus here was worth it imo. Gutwrenching
Gotta be sitting down for this one, you might just cry
God DAMN IT I got spoiled by someone’s appearance in the finale even though I had already called a cameo if nothing else. Fuck youtube
