Counterpoint: I admit someone pointed out that Mace is literally discussing overthrowing the chancellor which if gone wrong could spell doom for them (at least in a situation where Sidious hadn’t already rigged it to be a total victory). So yeah I guess it makes sense from a paperwork point of view to not have Ahsoka in there. But still, Mace is a pretentious dick.

Holy shit the sisters arc really is just the novel but shittier. I think I realize now why that arc stood out as so boring and bad: I'd read it already, just way better.

Mace is probably jealous that Ashoka was the one who finally captured Maul and she just going "nah I am no Jedi just a good citizen". Just think how bitter he was that some kid who not even a Jedi anymore was the one who defeated Maul where Jedi masters like Qui-Gon Jinn and Adi Gallia are dead because of this monster. (Yes Savage killed Gallia but was under Maul during the time).

Since he thinks the Jedi are the end of all be all of good I bet he was irked who came the closet to getting Maul and brining him in for questioning.

By extension, maybe he thought that killing Sidious by his own hand would bring a big win under his belt for once?

Now that you say that it adds so much to him fighting Sidious in ROTS. Now when I watch Episode III it will have a brand new context behind Windu wanting to kill Sheev!

Ahsoka needs to get some credit for her lightsaber skill. Beat numerous mandalorians throughout clone wars, beat Maul here, clowned all the inquisitors, stalemated with Maul (Kanan eventually beat him) at Malachor; stalemated Vader at Malachor and survived against Emperor in the World Between Worlds. For a padawan she has come pretty far!

    Ugh, I was 29.

Great episode, as I figured it would be, but maybe it's me, but this episode had a kind of Blade Runner vibe to it.

Agreed. I also felt the score reminded me of Vangelis's contribution to the original Blade Runner. I believe it was an appropriate tone considering how bleak the situation was for Ahsoka and the eventual fates of all Jedi involved. Have not really checked out prior seasons, but eagerly looking forward to the last episode.

Should have included this scene in the series and shortened Ashoka's 4 episode arc a bit

Apparently it’s already live in New Zealand, so that’s probably where all these leaks are coming from.

11 hours 'til the end, Split. We've waited years for this. We can make it.

Using a VPN to stream from Australia or some other ripper will let you watch the episode

    No spoilers here

The animation here is again just . . .stunning. Next level. They pushed the boundaries of visual effects here, its is INCREDIBLE.

You can quibble that they didn't shotgun in more stuff, but the focus here was worth it imo. Gutwrenching

Gotta be sitting down for this one, you might just cry

Yeah not what I'd call a uplifting finale, ends on a very dark note. But some of the scenes in Rebels make more sense now. Both Maul and Ashoka have big force user moments in this. Hope we get a new cartoon announcement tomorrow.
