It's the classic case of 90% of players not caring about the objective and just wanting to shoot stuff. Makes it really hard to win as the Rebels due to this, as you need to be paying close attention to the objective to win.
But even then, it's even teams with even starfighters, but the Empire have vehicles. Plus the AT-AT's have weaponry, the odds are incredibly stacked.
Yeah, but recently the walkers go down half the time. Plus the rebels usually spawn IN the defenses, not against them.
Only if I am on the Rebels team. Seriously though, let's see, I have played 15 rounds of Walker Assault, 7 of those were Rebels and 8 of those were the Empire. The team I was on won twice as the Rebels and 3 times as the Empire. The other 10 times it did not matter what team I was on, we lost.
To be fair the Empire are "supposed" to win . Seriously though it is possible to win, but you need to to be well co-ordinated as a team, if you can keep the uplinks protected and have decent pilots on hand to attack the walkers when their unprotected it is as possible... Difficult, but possible.
Do yourselves all a favor and play the original Star Wars: Battlefront for a superior gameplay experience. This game's spawn system is abhorrent; randomly distributed spawn locations, including an obnoxious spawn invulnerability, render map control and strategic positioning completely meaningless. It also doesn't help that the game itself feels like a dumbed-down Battlefront divested of everything that made the original two games unique: No classes, homogeneous automatic weaponry, stiff aerial control mid-jump, access to only one weapon at a time, no Clone Wars, no ability to roll, uninspired map design, and an awkward pickup system for vehicles, heroes, and specialty items. The most apt description I can fathom would be to compare this abortion of an attempt to a third person Call of Duty. Anything more is generous. If what you're after is yet another platitudinous shooter with Star Wars visuals, then this is the game for you. Everyone else should avoid this game like the plague and teach EA/DICE a lesson in humility.
Got to play Survival and Hoth last night. Had fun playing both. I guess the spawn points are random but I didnt mind. I was choosing partner when available anyway. My team won Hoth playing as Rebels. I don't mind classes as the loadouts/cards will fix that issue.

My friend linked me to a post on the facebook confirming they're fixing spawn issues that have been highlighted in the Beta. I thought thats what late Beta's were for? getting quick feedback to make changes for release?
mate I really liked it as well. It has a few problems but I'm eager to play with my friends when they get their ps4's It felt fresh to me too, as the only FPS I've played since Halo3 was Splatoon.
I said this in the Episode VII thread as well, but I'll restate it here: I love how the recent Star Wars commercials are playing on nostalgia. There's something really sweet about them all, and the ones narrated by James Earl Jones are even better (the Wal Mart one with the Ewok dance comes to mind). They put a smile on my face every time I see one.
