Star Wars: Clone Wars Theatrical Movie http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3if2a7312d15f5f54f1a5a4c180deca9d4 So, in August, the new Star Wars 3D animated Clone Wars show will make it's debut in the theater as a movie with episodes to follow on Cartoon Network. Should be fun. I wish I got Cartoon Network in HD on Dish Network.
yeah I read about this. Have lost some of my interest in Star Wars over the years, but not enough to "not" line up for this.
Wait, didn't we already have the Clone Wars, which was the only watchable part of the new Star Wars media? I guess this is just more along those lines. Well, might be good, if it's like the original Clone Wars. Of course, if it's like the new movies it could be very, very bad.
WTF? I guess we should have seen this coming. I am still trying to figure out what this does with the previous Clone Wars cartoons. I thought I heard that the new episodes are supposed to fill in the blanks. But with the new movie and more episodes won't this be more confusing?
i wont wait in line forever, but ill totally go opening night...though i too am curious about its placement...
Just as long as Lucas doesn't direct it, I'll be there. Oh, who am I kidding? I'll be there regardless!
I really love the style of the new Clone Wars 3D animated show. For those of you whom haven't seen what this show is all about, check this: http://www.starwars.com/video/view/000478.html
I hope this is in the vain of the DarkHorse comics more so than the Clone Wars cartoon. Still it will be interesting to see how this turns out.
Pass. Inter-Movie periods are the least interesting parts of the SWU as far as I am concerned, especially when the specific movies in question wern't any good in the first place.
I really liked the cartoon network version of the clone wars and I hope this is just as good, but I wonder why they must do it again. Why could they not tell a new story from the past before EP 1, or even from the future after EP 6. I want new Star Wars stuff...not just the same old stuff.
Because the same old movie hat sells better to the casual audience and the majority of the fanbase then original stuff does.
Especially when it comes to SW. I mean, look at the books: they took a new twist on the series with Jacen, and then decided to redo Episode I-III again. Ugh.
A new twist? A "Skywalker family member" falling to the dark side isn't exactly a "new twist" In fact, it's the same "twist" as Anakin's fall.
