Well, that's a season finale! An engineering dilemma, crew growth, new mysteries, and a big cliffhanger. Spoiler No sign of the Lower Deck Vulcan Ship lady though, that's a bit of a surprise. I like the "Sovereignization" of the Excelsior for the Archimedes though. This is easily the best Trek since DS9, Paramount should be giving more options for people to watch this series to help revive this mostly dead brand.
Dead brand? I mean, there's gonna be five ongoing, simultaneous Trek shows real soon... Regardless, this was a great season ender. Right level of drama and pathos. The show only gets stronger as it continues. Spoiler: Ending I love that classic Trek cliffhanger with big change to the status quo. Reminds me of the good old DS9 days! It's also cool that the Pakled storyline is evolving from its original straightforward plot. This has been a breakout a show for the franchise. Love it!
Damn, that was such an awesome ep. Spoiler the excelsior class looks sharp with the refit, great tension, fantastic performances, a sudden shock twist at the end and best of all, the return of Sonya Gomez! With the actual actress returning. Nice to see the character has made a good name for herself, she seems like she'd be a great captain here. @Pravus Prime i would have been surprised to see her return this week, it would have felt a bit too rushed and forced for all the transfer and red tape to go through so quickly, but I'm fully expecting her to be transferred onto the ship start of next season. When i first saw the trailer for season 1 the other year, i had my doubts but dammit, this is the star trek I've been missing. Season 3 can't come fast enough!
-pushes up nerd glasses- That wasn't an Excelsior class, it's actually called an Obana class. It looks near identical, but it's larger... (listen, I thought the exact thing too until a friend of mine schooled me XD)
Then you need to tell amazon too. Their episode synopsis tease thingy also called it an excelsior class. Lol. I'm happy to call it an obana class though, since it had straight pylons.
I mean, to be fair, if you're not on top of EVERYTHING, yeah, it's a "Sovereign-ized" Excelsior. Obena class
They put in the Parliament-class (the ship the USS Vancouver was. I'm shocked the California-class isn't in the game already, but it HAS to be soon.
They also have the main four as doffs and some equipment like the t88 multiscanner and uniforms. It's only a matter of time before the california class becomes available.
I look forward to the Vesta class U.S.S. Aventine showing up at some point in Lower Decks just as the Luna class U.S.S. Titan has.
I can see a non combat pet version of The Dog. It would randomly fly and do the other crazy stuff The Dog did. Except talk. Say Mudd got his hands on the genetic sequencer files Tendi used and now he can breed his own for us to buy. Wasn't that Ezri's ship? I haven't read the novels but if it means ezri comes back, then bring it on! Maybe that's the ship the vulcan woman from last week got assigned to.
I'm close. This was only possible because the existing pet dogs have some glitch of being in the air when around tight spaces. (the Starfleet Orion is me, my first and main character).
STO's Lobi Store also now has the Lower Decks uniforms (which I don't have yet since my main crew has their own style) and a few LD weapons including Shaxs' portable phaser cannon (which I do have)
