Some interesting new clips. I'm curious to see what exactly that oval ship thing is. Kinda looks like a kind of shuttlecraft. Whatever it is, I'm sure it's that ship we've seen being chased by a Bird of Prey. May seventeenth can't get here fast enough...

That trailer was a lot of fun and a nice change of pace from all the dark trailers and TV spots we have gotten so far. What I loved so much about the first was the fact that it was a fun sci-fi action movie. Even though this one will be darker, it still looks like it will have a lot of fun elements to it.

That space jump part looks suspiciously like Dead Space 3, lol. There's even co-op

If this is even half as good as the "first" one from a few years ago, it's already in my top 3 for the entire year.

Looking at some screenshots posted over at The Trek Collective, I noticed something I didn't catch in the trailer itself. We get our first look at the new Bird-of-Prey's front. Not that good of a look at it, but it's nice to see more of the new design. I'm hoping that a Hot Wheels version of this ship gets released. A Hallmark ornament wouldn't be too bad either. It's too bad Hasbro isn't releasing any non-Kre-O ships. Would have been nice to have seen a toy of this thing done in the size of the old Playmates ships. Same goes for the Kelvin...

EA games probably met with Abrams, saw that scene, and made it their own.

Those are some great spoilers! Cumberbatch and Quinto's scenes sound the best out of those.

Hey is there a general Trek discussion thread anywhere? I did a search and came up with nowt.

I just wanted to say that in the UK they're running Enterprise Season 4, and on rewatch its probably the best Star Trek TV series since the Next Generation. Only Season 4... minus that last episode.

    We don't talk about that.

I don't think there is. I made one for toy/merch. discussion, and was going to make one for TV/movie discussion, but didn't want to see it eventually devolve into a pointless bitchfest over differing opinions, like all Star Trek threads seem to do at some point...

Hmm, I saw the toy one (never knew Hot Wheels did Enterprises!) but figured that was just for toys.

Its just that I've been buying TNG on Blu Ray, and already season 2 is good, some Season 1ish stinkers but some blinding episodes. On TV here they've been rerunning some Voyager and now Enterprise and I'd seriously forgotten how good S4 of Enterprise was.

I think when S4 comes out on Blu Ray it'll be a secret purchase, if only to see Jolene Blalocks tight outfits in HD... *grrrrwwwwwwwwwl*

Bryan Singer would be a great choice for Star Trek.

I wouldn't mind if they waited till after starwars episode 7 came out for Abrams to direct startrek 3. Im one of the few who probably think it would be awesome to have one guy in charge of both starwars and startrek.

^ +1. I'm totally fine with it as long as I'm entertained. So far, so good.
