I really don't think there's enough to go off of. I really wouldn't be surprised if the studio havent locked down a lot of concepts.

Even if they have stuff locked down, it's still too early fo them to really talk about anything yet. Honestly, I wouldn't expect anything of any significance till SDCC. Even then, I'm not expecting much beyond the title.

Rumors have it that the 1st season of the serie would be set in between ST: VI : Undiscovered Country and TNG.

So set in the Prime universe and on JJverse. Also further seasons might be set in different era's

Got a link to these rumors? I kinda hope that's not what they're planning. I would much rather see them pick up sometime after Spock's disapearance and go from there.
Actually, anything set between UC and TNG would just be in the Prime universe. The only things the two universes share is Enterprise and parts of First Contact.
This is another thing I hope they aren't doing. Would help add variety to the "series", but you would loose the dynamic of following a crew through adventures over the course of multiple years. Which was a big part of my enjoyment of the past ST shows.

If these rumors turn out to be true... I'll still watch it, but it's not the kind of show I was hoping for. If this is what they're planning, I hope they pay attention to the continuity, so they don't screw anything up.

While I would still rather see a single ongoing cast, maybe doing single season stories will allow them to get certain people back and finally do a Titan series.

If the ship isn't the Enterprise, I would put down a bet for the Yorktown.

I'd love it if we followed a Vulcan ship for once, or a Klingon, Romulan, anything besides Starfleet. It'd be much more interesting to see the universe from a different perspective after the events of the ST VI Peace Accord.

Probably won't happen, but a guy can dream, right. Plus I always enjoyed those Deep Space Nine novels centering around the Gorkon.

I hope that rumor isn't true.
I'd actually like to see a series revolving around the Enterprise-J.

Maybe we'll see a few ambassador class ships in this. If this rumor is true I'm kind of split on this. I would have liked to see a show based in the 25th century then again a late 23rd or early 24th century show is interesting too. Perhaps we'll see those old maroon uniforms from twok erea again.

Way to make a streaming show unnecessarily expensive.

Newsflash: It all still takes place in the future, regardless.

I'd actually be really excited for a show that fills in all the MASSIVE gaps in continuity, the episodes that have done so have always been some of my favorites.

I agree, 25th Century would allow the writers to smooth over some of the obvious flaws Next Gen (for all that I love it) created: Worf's job being both ship security and combat operations officer as a small example.

One other idea I like is that if they use a big ship, and I mean a really big ship, they could divide the episodes and their focus among different areas. Say they start each episode with a section head's meeting with the Captain and depending on the plot we then follow the section head and their team for the majority of the episode - crossing over when required.

Yeah, that's my issue. At least it's back in the old continuity, and after this they won't have much choice BUT to go forward since this is the only time gap they haven't tried filling yet.

Not that my opinion matters to anyone else, but I feel like ST has run its course and will certainly not watch.

    Thanks for your time, heh.

    Captain Geordi La Forge.

Anchor the show with an actor who both loves and understands Star Trek, an actor who WE love, who plays a character we love.

That's the best recipe for a successful series I can think of.

Hope it'll be as GOOD as Enterprise, lol! :D

Worf in general was a big flaw.
And Gord, nice Signature pic with TNG's Q! :thumb
