Heading towards the last few episodes of Season 4, I think the biggest tease from the series show far is the constant inclusion of the Ferengi ambassador/officer since last season, and no dialogue or context about the Ferengi's deal or history during the past 900 years. Did Rom completely change their society, did they become part of the Federation and stayed with them throughout the Burn? There's a few in that bar from "All In", but are those types the minority now? I want some answers in season 5 damn it! (disclaimer: not actual dialogue shown)
On a side-note, the Orion fan in me is glad at least one of the very first alien species in Trek period has larger representation in the NuTrek era between Tendi in Lower Decks and Osyraa as the main villain last season, as well as the cadet in the Tilly spotlight and the ambassador from "...But to Connect". I hope to see that continue in the other shows in the future. (I also find it odd that there's been no mention of the Klingons so far considering how dominate they were during Discovery's first two seasons)

I finished Season 04. It's very refreshing to have a galactic mystery turned First Contact with a species beyond the physical galaxy as the main plot compared to the season villain arcs before it. The pure Science Fiction of the last handful of episodes really got my interest going. Despite the splintered Federation, I think the open sci-fi of this 32nd Century and beyond has some good possibilities if they're willing to go beyond the Milky Way Galaxy and beyond. I'm curious to see how the upcoming final season will resolve the series as a whole and if this is the end of exploring the far future, or if it gets picked up by something else willing to explore more.
For now, I think I'll take a detour and watch "Prodigy" and see what Aunt Kathy's been up to before finally swinging into "Strange New World"

Prodigy starts off odd, but it quickly became a favorite of mine...

Strange New Worlds is incredible and you're in for a FUN ride :D

Thankfully SNW is one show I know the least spoilers about so far. I know a few, but it's interesting to see how those play out. I have been enjoying Prodigy so far, just finished that fun "Kobayashi Maru" episode.

Seconded. Especially regarding Prodigy. The first, like, three episodes felt very cringe worthy but after that it finds its footing and except for a few filler episode really gets good!

Strange New World is fantastic start to finish

Considering that half of the reason they're doing a fifth season is to spite Enterprise, they don't deserve an ending even half as good as that one was.

Edit: And joke's on you, Enterprise still produced more episodes.

I confess that despite the bad choices Enterprise made to shoehorn in ST:TNG villains Enterprise is one of my top 3 Star Trek shows.

Third most interesting character from the show vs Archer's dog? Tough call.

"Ground breaking"? Ok, maybe in a way like "Let's bury this piece of s#!@ so deep in the ground so that no one can smell it ever again" kinda way then sure

I wonder if we'll get any connections to that Craft Short Trek "Calypso" or if that will remain an interesting non-canon What-If.

That thought literally ripped my brain on seeing the title of that video. Thank you for voicing it.

Ugh. I guess it deserves some prise, for jumpstarting the new era of Trek. But I literally like every other show (SNW, Lower Decks, Prodigy) more than it. Last season of Discovery I saw was the third one, and I just felt so tired when it ended. probably will never watch season 4 and 5. Just don't care to see Michael saving the day in every episode, and everyone asking "wheres Michael" when shes not around.

How come SNW is so much more fun?

I know I was. So tired of MikeySpock. Especially tired of how she can never be wrong and how everyone just caves to her.

I tried watching the 1st season… it never quite hooked me and was pretty much background noise.

While Burnham wasn’t the worst character on the planet… I didn’t like her as much as others and I didn’t dislike her as much as others.

And what does it mean when Lorca - who turned out to be a bad guy - was the best character?

Then came S2 Ep 1. Ugh. She was obnoxious.
Between that and the roller coasters inside the flattest ship in Starfleet I was done.

Then I watched the last couple episodes of S2… I swear they dumbed down Spock to make her look better. I’m glad Nimoy never saw what they did to his character.

This show was not for me.
