The only consistent thing about all the threads is people complaining about toon accuracy and hipskirts, and then me complaining about the complainers. Which I am trying to stay mindful of and stop doing, so we'll see if I can be consistent now.

 

I'm only thinking here, what could be the next topic to discuss in order to stay as far away from the topic of this thread as possible.  

Oh well, I guess it's better to stay on topic, although because of CNY we won’t get any update about this Blitzwing.

 

Well if we HAVE to discuss something other than Blitzwing, my vote goes to the Vectron Labs Devastator since that thread has been locked.

I never said anything about their transformation, just that I enjoy fiddling with them.  

That said, I find the transformations on Thomas and a DS seeker similarly unenjoyable but for different reasons - with DS it's the need to go in a very specific sequence or else you're bending plastic like nobodies business, whereas with Thomas it's the constant worry that the paint will get chipped off. If Thomas had less die cast I'd honestly enjoy him more. But we all have what we look for in a figure!

 

OMG, the few pages of that thread I just looked at were like reading a transcript of a Jersey shore episode!

I even learned there is such a thing as a subreddit called HobbyDrama.

So much wow. I’m not sure this thread can live up to that, let alone surpass it.

 

Let's hope ST Blitzwing comes in botmode. I just don't want any awkward transformations

Oh noes. I just noticed in the mangmotion video that there are no rear wheels on this guy in plane mode.

Not sure how I feel about getting scruff marks all around the bottom of him.

 

Mang seems to have neglected them. They're present in the renders shown earlier and just barely visible in the prototype from the side, and the previous video review shows them being deployed on the production test.

If they ever make a Broadside big enough for me to roll these MP scale planes around on, I might then get upset if there are no wheels with which to roll the planes on the carrier deck. But for now I just don't roll them around on the shelf if they're in plane mode.

I was about to post a tirade on this thread about QC, too much toon, and how rumble is blue.

 

Watched the transformation video several times. I’m warming up to the design, but the little peg for the shoulders scares me. I don’t transform my toys, but if that peg should break while posing, it’s a floppy mess. I’ve friends who have had the ds blaster fall apart, and supposedly this is the same group, different name.

 

Sounds like something my ex-boss would say  

 

There are several tabs that lock the shoulder into place, not just that peg.

 

I believe the story is that it's just the same designer, going out on their own and having it produced by a different manufacturer. So not simply the same group by a different name. That has seemed to have happened prior to this though

 

Yeah, the thread I think has a screenshot of a Weibo conversation that has designer making a comment and that it was the same guy.

Honestly, I'm hoping that once Blitzwing is out of the way we get the coneheads.
