120 at ShowZ means no diecast and minimum paint.

If for some reason, it has plenty of diecast and premium (as in FT level) paint, then Winter Has Come for other 3rd party companies.

It’s either that or it means Blitzwing ain’t wearing anything under that one-piece hip skirt…

Now there you have a serious handling problem!

I can only imagine the number of steps of all those transformations, since I myself do not have a single original g1 transformer…Oh boy, there's got to be lots of steps there. :D

Anyway, my curiosity was awekened enough that I decided to do some research and count the total number of transformation steps for all the figures in your picture and multiply the result by three and then compare it to the number of transformation steps in Star Toys ST-01. The number of transformation steps of ST-01 is also multiplied by three. The result was as follows:

    3 x G1 Blitzwing
    3 x G1 Octane
    3 x G1 Astrotrain
    3 x G1 Broadside
    3 x G1 Springer
    3 x G1 Sandstorm

Total number of transformation steps: 450

    3 x Star Toys ST-01

Total number of transformation steps (from tank -> jet -> robot): 420

So approx. 18 g1 triple changer Transformers figures are needed to get about the same number of transformation steps as with the 3 Masterpiece triple changer figures.

    :D

I bet it's painted, but it will be a flat paint.

The guy in the video said it was a heavy figure though. I believe that it’s been stated that some wing parts are die cast.

I don't see an issue with this back compared to say MP 36 and MP 44. MP 36 just looks unfinished while MP 44 has a giant hump on his back. While this is kibble, it looks interesting. I actually like the way it looks in the back.

My sources confirmed that ST-01 is hanging free for all to see.

I’m normally all in on FT but this just looks better than what we’ve seen from them.
It also looks really nice next to Thomas. Can’t wait.
Really hoping it has a nice finish with plenty of paint.
    And yes!
    New Octane please!
Not to mention a new Sandstorm and someone take a crack at Broadside!

Nothing to see here folks. It's the usual PG-13 stuff.

I currently have pre-orders for both this and FT-21. What the video showed exceeded expectations, and based on recently acquired small 3P company figures ("Windgirl" and "Ronin") I am impressed with what the new guys are able to do! I might keep both Blitzwing pre-orders, but assuming Berserk comes out any time soon seems... foolish.

I hope these guys keep making figures in this style. I feel Blitzwing was a good one to pick because there isn't a lot of competition right now. I think Sunbow Dinobots and Constructicons are the biggest holes in the market right now.

Why not a titan class Broadside? I'm surprised Hasbro has not cashed in on that one.

I'd like to see a new attempt at the Insecticons. I'm debating the Bad Cube vs Fan Toys sets, but might be interesting to see someone else make a new attempt. Star Toys has shown off some cool design skills with a challenging triple-changer. I could see them nailing it on the insecticons, including at least the second team (Venom, Barrage, Chop Shop, Ransack).

I would say the OG carboys are the biggest holes. The + versions Takara did are ok, but could be so much better.

Agreed. And would like to think someone somewhere is workin on them. There has been a lot more talk of needing updated versions lately. Id be down to see this designers take on carbots.
