I was happy enough with their first and I didn’t see much in the way of improvement to justify the 2nd one. I vaguely heard a few issues but didn’t think it was any worse than the usual miscellaneous issues.

The plastic feels rather cheap and flimsy. But it seems strong enough and the figure looks great. I don't recall seeing any complaints apart from the feel.

This guy looks good and to me he looks like he was lifted from Fanstoys reveal CAD drawings. What I am not so conficent about is the construction of the figure. many KFC figures look great, but in hand they feel like trash.

I am not always in love with Fanstoys transformations, many feel like work rather than fun, but for me their finish and stability makes them grade A. I know not everyone needs their transformers to transform hence the flame toys versions that look incredible. I, though, do need mine to transform. I basically use fanstoys as posable statues that technically can transform but rarely get transformed.

It is the combination of look and quality of finish/build that makes Fans Toys the current best in the business.

I hope this guy is incredible and if so, I would love to pick him up. The form of the figure is all I ever wanted. I just personally am not longer willing to invest in something without review on new company.

I can't wait for a review of this guy though!

It's light (lighter than TE-01, MP-44, MP-10, and even lighter than their own MS-01), and the plastic feels... different. Between that and the lack of paint the initial first impression is that it's cheap and/or of low quality.

Thing is, aside from smokestacks that broke during shipping (which Magic Square attributed to an issue with the packaging and has been good about sending replacement parts) there hasn't been much in the way of actual QC issues with the figure. My experience with it is that it's held up to several transformations (and actually has a transformation that makes you want to play with it), and it's extremely fun to pose. Indeed, the light weight might be an asset, as the joints don't have to work so hard and the figure is very easy to balance. I still kind of prefer the more heroic, "real" aesthetic of MS-01, but MS-02 is definitely my second favorite G1 Optimus toy.

    This.
The design is good, but the plastic material choice and lack of paint or die cast makes it feel like a cheap Chinese knockoff.

Hoping this is close to at least the feel of DS blaster with less matte paint and a little better qc.

I’m not normally too picky, but the colors are preventing me from pulling the trigger on a PO (and, somewhat, the timing; too much stuff arriving in that timeframe). The purple looks too dark, but purple is notoriously inaccurate in photos due to the weird CRI of most CMOS imagers. The tan/cream also looks too light to me. I guess I will wait until this actually comes out and I hear some impressions from early adopters to decide.

Don't think I don't see this subliminal shilling for TFSource! The circle is now complete. When you left BSF, you were but a 3rd party influencer trainee, now you are the master. I eagerly await your annual rap video.

Damn and here I thought I was really being slick about it. The shill is strong within me, but I am not an influencer yet.

I hope these guys don’t hit me up with an ST-01C cartoon colors after I pick this one up (They will).

The articulation looks pretty impressive, especially the ab crunch with that backpack.

The only other weird part is the hip skirt being molded into one piece. Otherwise, it looks great!

Looking at these pictures it hardly seems to need articulation there. Let's hope it looks ok.
