Red circles----ha! Those are the tailplanes. (mis-colored, but that's 100% how they end up in robot mode on the G1 toy). If they added them, that'd be like, reverse faux kibble. (kibble to look like a part of the vehicle that the actual vehicle mode doesn't even have).

 

Yeah, I hate faux parts anyway (and thankfully this uses it's actual wings on the shoulders), but that piece could just be painted the same biege (like the toon) and simply be robot shoulder parts. This is clearly modeling after the cartoon jet, so the actual tailfins wouldn't be needed. But on the flipside, not having that robot detail doesn't bother me. I'm looking forward to this coming out.

Given a couple of people were kind enough to post the comparison shots beneath my comment, my memory of the FT having the same mold breaking biceps along with what looks like a horribly top-heavy design was correct.

 

I would like this Star Toys figure to have those robot shoulder pieces. I wouldn't mind if those parts color is beige or purple, but if i must choose only one color, i would prefer purple. I don't mind faux parts, the main thing is that the figure looks animation-accurate.

 

The Reaction package art is missing them, the Reaction Toy has them in beige, and the Sunbow screencap has them in purple. There sure are a lot of options for them.

 

looking great and all (not sure which looks better as FT hasnt shown this much), but... I will be THAT guy that hopes this is gonna promote the character for MS / NA to follow suit in the Legends scale  

 

For my eyes, this has the best combination of the sculpt of the three forms out of all the 3P Blitzwings.

 

The FT design is better overall, it's not as accurate as this one, but it looks great in all of its modes (the jet mode actually looks like a jet)

So if you want the accurate dorky G1 design, get this one, if you like a G1 inspired good looking Blitzwing, then get Berserk.

 

I like that FT Thomas looks menacing. I want Blitzwing to share that aesthetic. Too bad there's no date for Berserk... I'll get this in the meantime.

I am tempted to buy this version because the articulation is outstanding, but the alt-modes are a turn off...

 

I love the FT it just looks like a better figure to me. The star toys definitely captures the toon way more.

Sunbow Blitzwing was never a real jet, but it seems like you like the Sunbow robot design to me.

 

Yup, that's Blitzwing, I'm in.

(It looks incredible although I cannot unsee the weird hollow armature on top of the shoulders. Lacks a bit of mass there, but otherwise is as good as a toon Blitz will look)

 

I really don't understand why they wouldn't... I am eager to see what FT is going to do now that it has serious competition (regardless of what I think about the look of the ST-01)

Something that bothers me a bit, now that I look at this thread name, is that most of the FT's threads names have a standard format followed by MP or masterpiece, but you don't see that format on the other MP threads... Is like if only FT makes 3p masterpieces

 

I don't hate it, it's ok, but real life looking vehicles are a must for me

If this is really a DS figure The only thing I'm concerned about is the paint, the reason I say that is the Blaster was unpainted and parts of the seekers was a little questionable. But like I said if it is DS for sure the hardware and quality will be excellent

 

Blaster and the Seekers we're all 100% painted. I have all of them and can verify that.
