Ditto. This approach is much better IMO! It's like when DS Seekers and DS Blaster were revealed - they were only a few months away from release.

 

The more I look at it the more I like it.

Prize? Date? Size? - $180? Q1 2023? FT Thomas?

Late Jan is way too optimistic. Chinese New Year basically kills the 2nd half of Jan and into Feb.
Given this is only a grey prototype, 2 weeks before Christmas, I can’t see this being in anyone’s hands in January.

Yeah, I knew about the russian situation with their military Industry, but I am not too sure how licensing works there... But I own an official licenced CAIC Z-10 from TFC / JiYi.

JiYi also has plans to make more licenced military vehicles from China.

I don't know if the model kits companies require a licence from the military Industry to manufacture and use the names of their products, but it seems like it.

Well, interesting and even more interesting if this announcement starts actual Blitzwing wars. I'm not 100% sold on this figure yet, but I'll be following the progress of this figure. Basically, I'm on the Fanstoys side when it comes to Blitzwing, but still considering all options. I think this figure will do more justice after we get the first actual color test version of this.

A couple of things that caught my eye the most:

Green circles: Slightly annoying parts.
Red circles: Missing from the figure.

Oh by the way, this figure even gets close to the same pose as seen in the animation.

Although I wouldn't praise that pose too much as a big achievement.

Anyway, this is a good looking figure already at this point.

I don’t love doing Starscream’s transformation but that’s an impressive resume nonetheless and this is looking promising based on both the photos and the track history.

 

Keep in mind Feb 2023 is my prediction for earliest. There's still time to manufacture, assemble, and package the darn thing. I don't know how long that usually takes.

 

This looks great! If it's true this is from the TE/DS designer under his own new name, I'm totally in.

Now, if they can just do a simplified, shrunk-down-to-6.5" version to rival the ugly Leader-class version, I'd be ecstatic!

 

I mean, the biggest unknowns will be things like materials quality and transformation, and really, those are often risks with XTB/KFC too, lol. DX9's was probably the best Blitzwing at close to MP scale so far. So it's not a huge gamble. Price is $170 on US retailer sites like Chosen Prime. Not too bad. Bet FT's ends up way more than that. Maybe this will cause FT to light a fire under their Berserk. Even better.
