With the mother of all holy grails being re-issued, and the new star saber alternity, AND the kabaya gum Vic Saber released somewhat recently, does anyone thing there is a chance we could see Holy Grail #2 re-issued in a set or in 2 separate encores?

Of course it's possible. Anything is possible.

Probable? Well that's a different question. I surely hope so, since the figures are awesome.

I would be all over this. Then they should follow up with Dai Atlas.

I'm really bitter with Hasbro for keeping so much Transformers awesomeness from me when I was a kid. There was no internet then so I had no way of knowing there were new Transformers coming out that weren't Action Masters or Micro Masters.

I already have the two but everyone should have a chance to own them. Some of the best G1 releases!

It's a shame noone has really tried to expand upon moving past optimus prime as a leader and using star saber in any recent media. I mean I love optimus the best but it wouldnt hurt to get a new generation of bots in the game for a little while, then have prime come back or something.

I guess it'd be neat but it could also end up a repeat of Star Convoy...

I'd hit it. I could keep my vintage safer that way.

I have two Vic Leo's and one Star Saber at this moment in time, all original vintages, of course, but wouldn't mind getting a minty fresh pair just to display and play with. My vintages can take a break. :lol

I don't collect the Japanese G1 because everything is so expensive, but I may definitely pick one of these up.

Question for the people that have been buying up vintage Japanese G1 pieces- does the romours of these things starting to be reissued, does it make you hesitant to pick up vintage pieces? I mean, if they reissued Overlord, would that significantly reduce the value of the current one? If you are thinking about picking up a star saber, are you now going to wait it out and see if the rumours happen?

I picked up pretty much any Japanese G1 I wanted five years ago, except for Grand Max. And yeah, I'm waiting for a reissue now.

The true number 1 Grail is Grand Maximus not Fort Max.

Fort Max is number 2. Overlord is also way up there on the Grails list I believe.

Victory Saber is hardly a grail for those who never watched any of the Jap TF shows.

short answer: Nope. not at all. I buy hard to find pieces not for the gain of being an 'elitist' collector, or to be in the small percentage of 'haves' in terms of 'holy grails'. I buy vintage stuff for the thrill of collecting, their intrinsic value and of course the character in question. Star Saber happened to be one such a character whom had a profound, indelible fondness to my childhood.

I have been trying to pick up the Japanese G1 over the last fews years albeit, slowly, lol, and I recently picked up the Victory Sabre giftset and I absolutely love it and don't regret the purchase. Personally, I prefer having the original vintage figures, but if a reissue of good quality is released for a cheaper price I have no problem with it. I have an original Fort Max as well, and I also pre-ordered the reissue. The value of the vintage figures only decreases because the demand for them goes down. I have no problem with that. I still have a number of Japanese G1 that I was willing to acquire, but I must admit, with the reissue of Fort Max and rumors flying of potentially more Japanese G1 reissues, I will be holding off on buying vintage for big bucks for at least a while. I don't collect for the value of the toys. I just love them, valuable or not :2c:

I disagree, I had not seen Victory (I have the discs, but still haven't watched them), and the Victory Saber giftset was a huge grail for me. I don't see how having watched the show makes it a grail.
