Update 2: just thought I'd show off how he looks with Super Megatron. Few more pics in the comments below

    IMG_20200930_155519.jpg

Update: I make him voyager class so that he will scale with super Megatron when he arrives

    yfocfd.jpg

Original post: Just wrapped up work on this star convoy. He is fully transformable but I did take some artistic liberties when it comes to how the arms and torso work

    upload_2020-9-19_10-19-20.png

He is about 6 inches tall, quasi legends scale but honestly he's kinda stand alone which I'm fine with. I had the idea for this guy a while back but decided to take a crack at him now between stop gaps on larger projects I'm working on (Pipes and Lugnut will be available soon)

    upload_2020-9-19_10-20-49.png

This is by far the most articulated figure I have designed so far, I'm really happy with the action figure element of him as it all works pretty smoothly. I plan to take the lessons learned here and implement them in future projects

    upload_2020-9-19_10-22-56.png

The vehicle mode is ok. Usually I try to pull off more elaborate and convincing transformations, but as I say the action figure element was the focus here

I'd love to hear what you guys think, I've got a few projects I'm finishing shortly then I have some big plans for later this year

Always a big fan of your projects, you’re a big inspiration to me in terms of my own figures that I design. Looks great, solid robot and I enjoy the changes you’ve made to the vehicle mode, seems a lot more sleek and coherent. A couple questions, does this mean you’ve stopped working on your fire convoy? And have you ever considered original designs?

This is one of the best 3d-printed transformers I've seen, and the best star convoy/ "Celestial Prime" I've seen. This is amazing work. Please do not stop making these crazy good figures!

Ok, this is just awesome in every sense of the word! The proportions are dynamic, the details are clean, the articulation is excellent, and it's fully transformable?! And it's made from scratch? If you hadn't said it was a custom, I've thought I was looking at a prototype for a high quality third party figure.

    Hi Waffel,

Do you have any plan on selling this masterpiece model design online in the future? I think it would not be easy even for printing all the parts and assembly them with joints.

Cheers for all the positive feedback guys, glad to see people like convoy here. As with many of my projects I do hope eventually to have the files up. Next month I plan to dedicate an entire week just to tweaking files and making instructions to get a number of designs up and available

Fire convoy is a project that means a lot to me, he is one of the 3 projects I've always wanted to do and as such I really want to be happy with the result. A couple of mechanics and the overall proportions weren't quite where I wanted them, so he's on temporary hiatus with the intent of returning with fresh eyes to finally deliver. As for original designs, I like the idea of it but right now just find adapting/re-imagining existing designs far easier

I do plan to sell the files, but for masterpiece scale they would need scaling up and tweaking. I don't plan to make multiple scale versions of the files so they would likely need some modification for masterpiece scale
