God rest his soul. A truly legendary man who made Marvel what it is today (which in turn made Transformers more than a toyline). He'll be missed greatly. Excelsior!
Dunno if artist or literary genius best sums the man up, probably both, any error in the description is purely down to my inability to articulate. Whatever for me he’s one of the greatest creators/writers of all time and by all accounts those who knew him say he was also a fantastic human being. I was truly sad when I heard the news at lunch today. R.I.P. Stan Lee, you will be sorely missed. What a life you lead. If I could leave behind. Thousandth of what you have I’d be over the moon. My thoughts are with his family and friends. Excelsior!
On the one hand, it's tough to mourn too much for a man who lived his life on his terms, gave his heart to the world a million times over, and loved every minutes of what he accomplished in such a genuine way that everyone who saw him knew it. On the other, that little kid clutching the comic book and being fascinated by the pages is feeling the urge to throw himself on the floor kicking and screaming that it's all over, however great it's been while it lasted. Here's to Stan Lee! I'm personally hoping that the films he didn't already film a cameo for they at least manage a billboard or bus side or something in the background with Stan's picture. It's the right thing to do.
So sad to hear, but the guy also lived on heck of a life. Lived it to its absolute fullest, I'd say. It's crazy to think that in all of my life I've never lived on a world without Stan Lee, but now that's all changed. I keep remembering booting up the old PSX Spider-Man game for the first time, and hearing Lee's voice narrate the opening.
No I’m not, just to clarify I’m far from knowledgable on the topic. I’m just going off what I’ve seen on the news and mainstream media which (at least what I’ve seen) has all been positive. I’m happy to admit marvel TF was the only title I read properly as a kid (which I believe he had little to do with) and my subsequent reading is mostly all post MCU. I still feel the man was all time great and would rather not be involved in anything negative in a thread memorialising a man with a family left behind and who’s had nothing but a positive eff3ct on my life.
