1986 version or bust..... if your gonna remake a awsome song you gotta make it more awsome then the original and this is not that.

I think it's pretty sweet that this video was a video response to my video edit when he came out with the crappy rap ver. The edits are almost identical, just a bit smoother lol.

Considering that this was for the two live action movies, i like it, it has sort of a dramatic feel to it, but however it doesn't have the sense of thrill and adventure that the old version of The touch had. Still either way it's nice do see Stan bush doing something.

Agreed, its more similar to the old one without the rap. Although the creepy guitar guy would have been nice to see in the video. (other than his one second, arm cameo)

Maybe he shouldnt make a new song to release but instead re-release the old version. I`m sure it would please most fans. Either that or all the Transformers fans will like his old version more so he will put the old version on the CD, only then with the old version, will i consider buying it.

And i mean this as the old version:

:lol  Man i haven't seen that video in ages, Wow he's lost some hair!  And i agree with you, a re-realease would've been nice, but i'm curious as to how Dare would've sounded like if he redid that song instead of "The Touch".

I'ts better than the rap version by far. I like the video and I think it fits well in that. Maybe I'd grab that for the ipod but only maybe. I totally agree with the "one trick pony" comment. Why, why would you want to change a great original like this? It never, never, never works.
Stan, seriously, if there is more talent in you, you can come up with a totally new song, one that fits the times. Still a one hit wonder.

I'm going to just go with a modified FLCL reference. Jowls......?!?!

You know, I kinda wish Stan would have just used one of his lesser heard musical interlude songs. Somehow this weepy version doesn't fit Shia LeBeef right. Then again, perhaps 'Whiskey Hangover' would have been more appropriate for him.

The rap grew on me over time, but I'd say it works better without it, except theres one part in the song, right where the first RAP segment would be that it feels like the song jumped...which it did....I think Stan should have re-recorded that part to let the song flow better.

Regardless I'm not gonna be one the offensivly whiney fanboys in this thread...but rather say "Thank you Stan Bush!"
