I don't know what's funnier, the replies in this thread, or creepy guitar guy.

    Wow, was that....wow.

What made it worse was 45 year old rapper guy.

    That was just pathetic.

Stan, sorry, but it just doesn't work.

Ya know, I was surprised. I wound up liking this one a lot. Nice chorus.

Personally in that scenario id be cheering him on or hitting on her myself but i get your point. :p

Bush needs to stop trying to act cool cos the 80's hasnt been kind to him and just pick up his guitar and make a video of just him singing and playing the guitar like the original video and keep the cool footage of tf1 and rotf in the bg. Get rid of those weird looking guys, especially the emotionless, silly-grin guitar player. Bush+guitar+tf footage-silly guys= win.

    1. Remake "Dare" next!

    2. Doesn't Stan realize he's a "camp" icon? His fans love him for the same reasons we love William Shatner and Adam West. I didn't get my pic with him at Comic-Con because of his rockin music, but because I wanted my pic with the bare-chested pelvic-thrusting mullet from the "Dare" video!

    3. It's been said, but the child molester on guitar is the creepy.

    4. This reminds me of the 40-50 year old guys who get together to perform in their "rock band" for the company picnic.

    5. The rapper's vague resemblance to John Turturro does NOT make him easier to take seriously.

Edit: "Hey GUYS! It's been 23 years, but I finally wrote a NEW SONG!"
"Um, Stan, That's the old song, with rap in it."
    "Aww."

As a music major with a 3.7 GPA, I can say this: WHAT IN THE FUCKING NAME OF PRIMUS IS THIS SHIT!!??

OK seriously now, the song would be better off if one thing and one thing only was not in the song: The rap portion. I mean, it has been done, its old, and rarely is it ever done well. It is TERRIBLE! It is nice to see an old classic redone by the same artist after 20+ years, but at least take time to see that rap with rock is mostly dead, with awful bands like Linkin Park trying to keeping it alive (yet another band I find to be talentless, and not rock, and on the ROTF soundtrack. I nearly died at the end of the movie when they played them). And to top it all off, performed by someone who looks like a rat boy that had way too many Jager Bombs when he signed the contract, and played beer pong the night before the recording of the song and the video.

If the rap part was thought up by Stan, I hate to say, it almost sounds like a tragic parent trying to prove that they are hip and cool to their children and their friends.

Now, the way Stan reworked the vocals, how they are sung, and the tempo of overall song is a nice touch. And all of that keeps the focus and the basic spirit of the original. It just gets derailed into a river when ever the rap part comes on.

Now this is just my opinion, and when it comes to music, I am VERY opinionated.

I couldn't stop laughing the entire time. That' was ridiculously horrible. Just leave the song be in the 80's.

Good but, you cant beat the old one. Especially after seeing Optimus in the 80's movie enter to that song. Too epic.

Whoa . . . does not work without that 80's tempo.

The rap seems so Sugar Ray 1990.

Someone should wear that to BotCon. I DARE you (get it?)

No, actually. Stan seems like a good guy. Don't want to hurt his feelings.

I'm amazed at how good that was. So far it's the "Black Lab" of RotF.

Take note, Stan. That's how you combine the 80's with the modern.

Man, poor Stan Bush. It's so sad to see him trying to desperately cling to relevance on the heels of one song that was used in a children's cartoon movie 23 years ago. Especially since, honestly, it wasn't even a very good song to begin with.

Edit: Okay, so after listening to a couple minutes of the new version I went and listened to the original. I take back that "wasn't a very good song" comment. The original version was shit, too.

I'll be honest. I can't make it through the video. Sorry.
