Hilarious. So this is why Jazz was not killed off! Though (refresh my memory, I never much cared for Season 3) he barely appears after the movie, no? I recall he was on the "Cybertron olympics" in 5 faces of Darkness racing some alien transformer (suddenly it seemed every alien race was a transformer) - or he was just cheering on Blurr, I forgot? Not much after that. Curious they used Siege Prowl, not Earthrise. Maybe not even Hasbro has one due to how little Amazon had in stock. Come to think of it, we never saw some of the more annoying G1 characters die, like Gears or Huffer. I know Huffer's grave was in the zombie Optimus episode though. That's an easy fix Minor/Repaint: - Earthrise / Siege Prowl/Blue Streak head-swap and repaint Well, more like that if you did not have a toy on the shelves in 1986, WHAM, you were dead. As a kid living in a country where toys made by the "evil imperialist capitalist west" were not allowed in, of course I did not know this. Imagine my surprise when I found out the Coneheads only re-appeared in Season 3 because they were still in the toyline with Cyclonus and Scourge. Heck, that was the very reason for Starscream coming back from the dead, twice - as unlike the 3 Autobot cars there were only 2 new Decepticon jets, Starscream was still in the 1986 toyline. Heck, that's why the Insecticons reappeared despite not just being killed or horribly injured in the movie, but afterwards being turned into Galvatron's soldiers - they still had toys on shelves! Ironically, despite the Deluxe Autobots and Insecticons still appearing in 1986 they never made it to the toon. I assume it was copyright issues with the Dorvak anime. I also cannot recall Skyfire being in S3, though the Jetfire toy was still out in 1986. Can't wait for those to be posted. That'd explain that SS86 Ironhide listing. Maybe we will get a Prowl re-release too, perhaps with a correct head and smoke effect you can add to his eyes? ...Yeah that'd be dark...
Maybe in current year if we tell people they are being \"discontinued\" instead of canceled, that would go over better ...or probably not. At least give them all a chance to sing their way back into the good graces of the twitter mob.
Jazz and Cliffjumper would have been in S3 occasionally (as was Spike and BB). However Jazz' voice actor Scatman Crothers unfortunately fell ill and passed away late in 1986. Even though voice recording for S3 probably was going on around spring of 86, he probably wasn't healthy enough to work. Casey Kasem (Cliffjumper) left due to negative stereotype depictions of Arabic Culture in S3 (Abdul Faqqadi sp?) . However at least Jazz had a couple non-speaking background appearances in Call of the Primitives, and the last episode Rebirth part 3.
YES! My first thought was, "Hasbro is doing this and they're being all cutesy about telling us with a stop motion video?!?!" hahaha.
Not a fan of how they whitewashed Jazz. They could have done OP with Stan Bush, or another 84/85 character, but given the history of African American actors performing the voice of Jazz, this leaves a sour taste.
"Of course I've got a song! I'm Jazz!" Okay now the hard questions, do the makers of this video actually know what jazz is
I've been thinking for a while that I'd love to see a Transformers comedy series aimed at long time fans kinda like the Harley Quinn show.
What the hell was this? Im not sure what I just watched.... what was the point? Was this G1 or movie? Where was Jazz's funny cartoon voice? I like the idea of this short, but the execution was flat.
I’m amused by how he quickly changes into his alt-mode to fetch his guitar and chair out of the boot.
The Gentleman voicing Jazz in this Short was Stan Bush the Writer and Performer of the The Touch. The song he was Singing. It was also in the 86 movie.
Skyfire had a blink and you missed it moment in season 3. Dark Awakening he and or his Seeker clones are destroyed by the Quintesons
