I guess the theory is, fans will buy the regular assortments, Mom and Dad will buy the A-level figures that are "always on shelves" because their child wants "Optimus or Bumblebee." And this scheme evidently works for Star Wars and Marvel because Moms and Dads know their children want "Darth Vader or Iron Man."

I'm really, really nothing but skeptical that this scheme will also work for Transformers. But the takeaway is, do not overpay on the aftermarket for Optimus and Bumblebee, there should always be at least one peg at your local retailer with these figures available, if not several pegs. And continue to preorder the non-A-level figures from your preferred online store, because one thing is certain, this scheme is not going to increase their availability.

Yep sticking with Netflix and it's perfect alt mode

Dare I say that has the best modern Deluxe alt mode?

Good thing I have something like 30 other G1 Bumblebee toys to play with. :p

There’s an equal chance Hasbro will end up making so many of them that he’s all we see for a few months. Back when Origin Bee was out, I snatched up the first one I saw, only to see every single Target in the Philly area turn into a hive shortly thereafter.

AS things stand, I’m slightly interested. If I see it, I’ll consider it. I like the bot mode, but not crazy about the car mode, at least in pictures. Like I said earlier, it actually manages to be worse than the original Penny Racer Bee.

I’m hoping for a ROTB mainline Prime situation, where the pictures don’t do justice to how fun the toy is. And if I don’t find it, TR Bumblebee still looks and plays just fine.

I'm gonna be so damn pissed if this is the mould they decide to use when they finally make a new Bumper figure.

SS86 would make such a good Cliffjumper but in comparison for Bees, I think if you fix the chest by slapping a sticker on (it makes a big difference somehow) it's not really a contest, Netflix wins

One odd thing that I dislike about this is the apparent lack of 5MM ports which means he won't be able to carry more weapons aside from his little pistol (and is especially bad because I would want either Bumper or Glyph to store other accessories).

Also, couldn't they have at least included the jetpack like Origins Bee did?

Eh, I don't know how considering it allows for more flexibility in the use of accessories.

And in the case we're talking about "ports ruining the alt-mode", we're talking about a literal cartoony-looking vehicle.

Freed from the Volkswagon license, I really hope this leads to a Glyph and Tap-Out Selects two-pack.

There's something about the cutesy, cartoon-inspired, and very non-realistic vehicle mode and proportions of this Bee that I find really charming. There is an appeal for realistic(-ish) vehicle modes, and I'm definitely hanging on to my Netflix Bee, but I'm getting this A-level version too.

Shocked at how cute I find the little bugger, he legit is speaking to me more than normal.

It’s the feet? To me they are much less obnoxious then they have been on him on the past and I just like the look.
