So, I’ve previously posted two Radicons threads where I have tried to come up with a better face for SS86 Blurr. The first attempt was a significant re-sculpt (Minor/Repaint: - Studio Series 86 Blurr), and the second was a transplant of TR Blurr’s head to the SS86 body (Minor/Repaint: - TR Blurr to SS86 Blurr Face transplant). This final facelift involves a more subtle re-sculpt and some paint. Basically, I tapered the angle of the jaw so it’s more graceful and less square/hench. I trimmed the length of the chin just a bit, but left it protruding a bit lower than his helmet, which seems most accurate to me. I’m not sure why they went with the snow-white paint for the face, since Blurr has always been portrayed with a gray mug. So I painted the face a light gray. I considered painting the neck gray as well (as in the toon), but decided less is more (for now...). Finally, I painted the eyes to liven them up a smidge. Before: After: With LG Blurr and my face-transplant SS86 Blurr. I really can’t say which I like best. Hope this was helpful!
The middle one looks the best. Is there a way to add a smidge of putty to fill out his hollow cheeks?
I wonder why they didn't paint the tips of the shoulders on this new version like they did the TR. It's how it is in the movie
