Minor/Repaint: - SS86 Blurr: final facelift , well after skimming through FB one day and seeing another blurr chin removal done , I came back to radicons and saw @Thundercracker Blue ‘s post and decided to try my hand at it .

A few angles of the final head Basically started things off with sanding off the chin to preference with a 800 grit zebra stick and polishing off after.

Using the back of an exacto knife to re-taper the jaw a little after to reduce square-ishness.

Resculpted the lips by slowly scraping material off with a “makeshift chisel” flat head pin. And sanded the nose a little upwards from the base to appear shorter . Took a few attempts but got to where I’m happy with it

For some reason, he reminds me of actor Patrick Wilson.

 

Damn, this looks excellent! I had been happy with mine, but you’ve added some elements I hadn’t considered, which have taken the sculpt to a higher level.

Looks like I’ll be busting out my needle files in an attempt to replicate what you’ve done here. Kudos!

yeah the slightly smaller eyes to face ratio and the profile is very similar

hahaha thanks mate , enjoy the process , it’s pretty fun . I was happy with just removing the chin like your mod’s but then without the chin .... the lips became super pronounced

Have you considered painting the neck white as well? I think that might improve it even more.

I’ve painted the neck white in one of the attempts not shown here . Doesn’t really work well imo , while that’s more show accurate , the long neck isn’t as covered up with the “front collar” it has in the show. Makes it look pretty awkward with a out standing long white neck .
