I’m not even referring to inaccuracies to be honest, just the quality of the finished toy. It looks nowhere on the same level as those I mentioned, hell gamer edition bumblebee looks a step above

How do you define quality then? He looks more solid by far than gamer edition bumblebee. He’s got the same articulation level as any of the studio series Bayverse bees, Rotf sideswipe, and DOTM soundwave. Do you just not like the more chunky aesthetic? Because that’s not really a problem with the figure.

I... Idk, I kinda like him? Inaccurate, but I'm forgiving in that regard. If the transformation's fun, I may pick him up.
Do wish they used some of the mass from the front end of the car to bulk up the legs (and give him actual feet) instead of just ending up a backpack. Ah well.

If you don't understand what is the meaning of quality, you should read the ISO definition. After that, you would understand its relative meaning.

I know the definition of quality, but when it comes to a figure, that definition is far from objective

Gamer Edition could have been something really special.

I'd love to know what their rationale is, Studio Series is running out of Bayverse designs (especially marketable Bayverse designs), they need to expand beyond movies. Instead I don't see this subline lasting the year.

This is honestly the best description of Gamer edition. All the figures are OK at best, but all of them feel unrefined or unfinished.

Studio Series sells really well, Bayverse wise included. Even those "non-marketable" dudes.

Damn… this looks rough. I set a pretty low bar for my expectations of Hasbro figures, but this one literally tunnels under it for good measure. Could some of that upper-body mass not have been shifted to the legs?

Wait I thought this was something about the shape of his feet. This is about ankle tilts?

I didn't like the original mold, especially the Jazz version - I couldn't stand the geriatric looking face of his - but I did bought Sideswipe because of the kickass weapon. This? I don't see any selling point. There were dozens of HMS WFC/FOC designs that I'd love to see turned into physical figures. Warpath! Dinobots! Combiners! Why redo Sideswipe (or the eventual Jazz) so soon (and, subjectively, so poorly)? Do the other first!

I initially had a problem with Sideswipe's legs, though the pic there of him standing straight he doesn't look too bad. But those action poses.

I think I'll get only the characters who did not get an OG toy back in the day, e g. Barricade, Warpath and so on.
I do agree there have been major improvement over the pre existing versions of OP and the others though.

Do they? Most of the other series can and have been covered in Legacy. The only thing left is concept art which isn't guaranteed to outsell bots that appeared in the films.
Nope, none of the big ass hood just hanging off his back. Lol

I keep going back and forth on this guy. I kind of like him and these pictures do make him look better, but the flat feet and the photos showing the wheels all bunched up next to each other still bug me. This is one of those toys where I’ll need a video review to make my final verdict on whether I’ll buy him or not.

even though the figure doesn'r replicate it all perfectly, the wheels all bunched up together is accurate to the in game design lol

Fair. That’s more of a me thing (which I like and don’t like depending on the angle). Maybe it’ll look better in hand.
