Yeah, it's almost like they were made in the '80's or something, when most toys back then were similarly simplistic and we're talking about a product literally several decades in the future.

Everyone complaining about the paint should already know theyre gonna do the cartoon accurate colors on the Buzzworthy line bc thats the pattern weve had for years now

 

I'd settle for any paint

That alt mode head doesn’t look like a cheetah. It reminds of that Never Ending Story flying dog head (whatever his name was).

We dont need another threadwar just because people cant handle different opinions. You like the design and character, you win.

Others dont, they will win somewhere else.

No need to catagorize them as G1 ers, Beast Whiners, Movie Morons or anything else.

I think you can even find comments of people being angry that Prime has his visible mouth again when the trailer came out.

 

Cheetors TM1, TM2 and BM bodies all had chests like this with no beast head

And in total they all had more screen time than he's S1 body, not that that part matters

This looks to take inspiration from multiple Cheetor designs and not just one

 

I honestly don't think he looks that bad. It looks like a decent figure and while the engineering isn't impressive I think he turned out okay in both modes.

I just do NOT like the design. Beast Machines has probably my least favourite designs in the franchise and I am disappointed that they decided to go with something closer to that. Hope those that like it enjoy it tho.
Honestly if the paint was actually compentent I wouldn't mind it as much. Something monochromatic can look good as long as its painted

 

Now, ROTB Cheetor could do with a more saturated colour, a a yellow mixed in with the colours he already has, for contrast

Oh, and more importantly, darker spots, and a greater amount of spots as well

 

I think it’s the bodies design and sculpt throughout. The body is fairly blocky and the sculpt is pretty shallow, looking less movie like and more generations. It’s bizarre.

Those are also an issue. I don't mind the blocky body as much but that sculpt is ridiculously flat and it drowns in this ugly brown thet chose. Even 86 figures have more intricate sculpting.

 

Now this looks anazing. All it needs is better paint and color choice.
