"Oh, the Movieverse bots are finally gonna be less monochrome!"

 

I love this Cheetor. The face kinda reminds me of black panther which I know some people might not like but I definitely like it. Definitely a 10/10 design imo I am really happy with what they came up with here. 

 

At first I was REALLY not feeling this guy, but the more I look at him, the more I realize he’s an amalgamation of every cheetor from season 1 to beast machines, rather than the concept version that was just season 1. Very nice indeed.

While I agree, I honestly think BBM should’ve picked a group of Autobots with more diversified colors. 5/8 of the Autobots shown were mainly red or had noticeable red on them, while 4/8 of the Autobots shown were mainly white or had noticeable white on them. The commonly shared colors the BBM designs had honestly made them feel less distinct from one another. Although overly-common colors between TF characters have been a problem since G1.

 

You know thinking about how so far every single SS figure from this movie is based on concept art, what the hell is the point of studio series now? The whole point of this line was both detail and scale accuracy to the onscreen models, yet the entirety of this year is taken up by ROTB figures who are all based on now inaccurate concept art. It makes the mainline figures that were supposed to serve that purpose completely pointless/redundant. At the very least when they did this with the BB movie they only had a few figures to redo accurately later, but here we have the entire cast of a movie that will need to be redone later to be accurate.

 

Yeah it's really frustrating. I am still buying them Just because I don't think they'll redo them anytime soon. I understand why they did it, I just don't like it. I would have preferred if they delayed this line in favor of more bayverse and WFC characters. Here's hoping the Animated movie doesn't get delayed and cause this problem for a 3rd time.

IDK, I'm looking at the Bumblebee movie Autobots on my shelf and they're all pretty visually distinct

To me they all mesh together when so many of them have the exact same colors. I know this would be against the point of the designs (G1 accuracy) but couldn’t they have spiced up the colors a little bit? Maybe throw in some severely underrated colors like orange or purple. Hell, they could’ve even given Ironhide and Ratchet their Bayverse colors so they could stand out more color-wise.

 

XD had a good laugh with this one.

 

March 3rd in the UK. That's the date for all the figures revealed so far.

 

Cliffjumper is barely in the opening scene, and Ironhide isn't positioned near Optimus in that scene, so Ironhide stands out fairly well and Ratchet and Wheeljack are pretty different shades of white. Idk, they are all pretty visually distinct to me given that their overall shapes are also pretty easy to discern compared to previous movie designs.
