but once again dorks over reacting where is the dinobot in this ugly thing? i just see a cheeto colored cat, hell the face reminds me of TM1 cheetor heavily with some aesthetics change


put some TM1 yellow and teal green accent and grey on all the mechanical paneling and it would look so much better, if still kinda under impressive for a voyager

 

For what it’s worth comparison in Cheetah mode with the control art, and the trailer.

 

Control art looks more like the mainline toy and the Studio figure is pretty damn close to the footage.

It definitely is, not 100% but closer than the mainline.

It is cool to compare, and will be for the other ROTB mainline and SS toys.

 

Now that's something I haven't heard in long time, wish we can get new toys out of it

Definitely based on control art from the look of it. Even the control art had a weird fnaf looking head which would explain this figures bizarre head.

 

The beast mode kinda is, the robot mode is closer to the final design BUT not exact - is missing silver in spots (biceps and inner thighs for example), also the BW crest/horns aren’t present on the toy.

The Cheetah head isn’t great on the toy I do agree, looks weird.

 

As I said before: if the beast head looked as it did in the teaser + he had a better color scheme in general I'd be pretty on-board with this.

Though honestly, I think both Studio Series Airazor and Cheetor would look a lot better if they had more elements of their core / deluxe figures.

 

I mean we haven’t seen the control art’s robot mode. We already know the bot mode for mainline cheetor isn’t accurate to it because it’s bright yellow and blue. It’s very likely given every SS figure so far has been based on control art, that well this guy was as well. The control art bot mode probably just isn’t that far off. Because there are definitely differences here and especially in cheetah mode.

 

I like the colors for the most part but yeah if the beast head looked better, it had the BW horns and some other things I'd be down tbh. Still will maybe get this just IDK when as of now.

Very likely, cause like you said if you look at the other SS stuff in comparison to their control art and the trailer (and I have) they are a closer to the control art than the trailer designs (BB is pretty much the same in both)

So very likely whenever we see his control art he will look like this probably.

Which if so then the theory I have of the Buzzworthy SS Prime being off the control art more than the final design might be true.

Yeah it's definitely close, just yeah there are differences like comparing the Cheetah mode details (the SS one also has fur detail in his torso like the control art whereas in the movie it's mostly on his neck).

 

Danny DeVito makes for a more convincing cheetah than this.
