Is that supposed to be a cheetah?

 

I like how this looks more than Airazor's Studio Series figure.

But he's seriously missing some blue, and why do all the Maximals have green eyes? I think I'd definitely be all over this if he had a more vibrant yellow and some blue on him.

I’m confused by this figure. It doesn’t look like a movie figure, even compared to the movie model we’ve seen. It’s so blocky and under detailed, Almost looks like it’s from generations not studio series.

 

NGL I dig it. Gives me vibes of not just BM Cheetor but Transmetal Cheetor too in bot mode.

Honestly I don't need him to look like S1 Cheetor. IMO TM2 Cheetor was the best look for him so I like that ROTB went for its own thing here like that too.

That cheetah doesn't really look like a cheetah to me though.

I'm going to choose to believe that the green Maximal eyes are a sort of homage to the iconic beast eye from OG BW toy packaging. Maybe not even necessarily a conscious homage so much as a subconscious feeling that carried over and slipped into the aesthetic for the movie Maximals.

For a movie Cheetor it's not a bad design, I just think it needs a better color layout.

The mechanical detail on the mainline also seems nicer, more prominent. On the ss it looks more smoothed out, especially the cheetah head

 

I actually really like this. But the hands/front paws are awful, especially for a voyager.

No beast head on chest is blasphemy just like Beast Machines and its designs were blasphemy. I hate the head too ugh.

Can we get the movie with the main line figure models instead.

Transformers fans when a new design takes inspiration from all iterations of the character instead of looking 1:1 to the original

 

It was already very funny to me that G1 guys in movies get haphazardly nameslapped onto totally new designs, but BW characters must be clearly based on the source material to the point that you can tell at a glance which character is which. It is insanely funny to me that in that context, people are looking at the BW designs and going, "Extremely minor differences? This is unacceptable." The movies are the only part of the fandom where a G1 fan is sadly holding their black French Hot Rod while a sad trombone plays, and a BW fan is going, "Where are the blue shins, idiot?"

Definitely giving me Transmetal Cheetor vibes. Looks pretty good but I prefer the "core line" version.
