I didn't really know what to expect from a Voyager Cheetor, but I'm liking this. I don't mind the colours, articulation looks great as well.

Man this is the epitome of brand loyalty. Don't like the look of a figure? You just want attention because there's no way billions of people on the planet can having differing opinions on toys and fictional character Design. Like if you wanna like this fine but putting down others for not liking it in this psudeo attempt to villianize others for not liking a figure is just sad and rather pathetic for a lack of a better word.

I can't blame people for not knowing tho. The shot we got in the trailer wasn't the most clear

And his core toy getting leaked certainly didn't help

Hold on...is the Gunmetal paint on his abs and crotch...intentionally meant to look worn off?

Because if so, god damn that's pretty freaking awful! It looks like flawed paint apps right out of the box and doesn't gel with the perfectly solid color applications on the rest of the body! What were you THINKING Hasbro!?

True but at the same time this image was spread a lot across the internet and on these boards (and in the Deluxe Cheetor thread). Just idk I feel like it was obvious he wasn’t gonna look like that.

Not quite, least not for me. Objectively, this Cheetor design is quite good. However, the Transformers movies are an oddity in the current comic book/nostalgia driven movie landscape. Most adaptations remain relatively faithful to the source material when it comes to character designs (this is the approach that the Bumblebee movie took as well). In the MCU movies, the characters are clearly recognizable, same with DC (for the most part, we won't mention the Harley Quinn movie and it's terrible adaptation of the Birds of Prey or Cassandra Cain). Transformers on the other hand goes to the opposite extreme with characters that bear little to no resemblance to any previous version of the character. Literally, the only reason this Cheetor design looks like Cheetor is because it turns into a cheetah. It doesn't actually look like Cheetor at all, at least in my opinion.

I like the transformation and the weapon, but the detailing on the limbs and torso is awful and lacks dynamism to it. Even the blurry shot in the trailer has blatantly more interesting shapes and panel lines than the toy did. The head in particular looks so under detailed it feels like a doodle of the movie design.

I get that. Personally never paid much attention so I was surprised how this guy turned out.

I try to ignore them too, but some times I just want to poke them because they make things that are bad for the community. Its not a super-deep thing, I just say one or two words about them and then I ignore them for long time again.

For me at least he trailer design Cheetor pretty good and faithful(looks like BM Cheetor but good, and a lot more like the character than most of the Bayverse bots
F33E7320-0A09-458F-82ED-C62DD521F7CA.jpeg , I think besides WJ, Battletrap and Scourge, most of the bots in this film are pretty faithful to their og counterparts with modifications.

Also I think the toy is missing details that where changed

I'm going to recommend you to re-read what I wrote, because I never said that "all the people who didn't like it are haters" so everything else you said is based on something that is in your mind, not my words. If I'm talking about a specific group of people and you think I'm talking about everyone, the problem is yours.

I'm starting to get a kick out of folks on the internet that are easily offended when someone has the nerve to dislike/like something they like/dislike.

He's a mix between Transmetals 2 and Beast machines. I dig the design!

The difference there is that the battle damage is paint and can ultimately be removed. Generally I've found people were not fond of the battle damage on the figures from that period of the modern toyline - and I agree, since while I don't have many Siege figures, I do have Apeface and god damn the inconsistent silver battle damage looks tacky. I'm just too lazy to break out the rubbing alcohol.

You can't remove the "wear" from Cheetor - that's literally just the plastic underneath what little paint there is.
