not perfect, the back could have had a bit more detail,, and be a bit more compact, and he could have a bit more paint to separate somedetials on his legs and head, but you know what? is looks great, and i own 5 jolts(dotm, lost age, rotf x2, and hftd) and i still love them, and this one will look amazing with them
Realizing there's only a few Bayverse Autobots left in Studio Series is a little melancholy. I know wreckgar39 said we weren't gonna get Skids and Mudflap but I hope we do get them.
Congrats on being the dick of the thread. Discussion was nice and polite with even a couple of people that aren’t fans being happy for those who do like it. Only took 6 pages for this asinine and unnecessary comment though, I guess that isn’t too bad.
He is, but I guess just acknowledge him once then push him in the back of the display to hide behind the other Autobots, then it will be movie accurate.
I think we got a chance to see this expand with Rise of the Beasts and RotF Breakaway coming down the line. The first being pretty obvious, and the second opening the door to several other characters like Longarm, Landmine, or DotM Warpath.
That was a rumor spread by the owner of TFormers IIRC. Which predated the movie line by several years. Armada Overload's gray prototype photo was one of the main accusations hurled against Aaron. Transformers the Movie Toy Prototype and Character Images - Transformers News - TFW2005 This? To my knowledge, "Pulsar Striker" was not Aaron's secret board ID.
IIRC 07 voyager and leader Primes/Megatrons were leaked via overseas forums/actions, leader Prime specifically I remember being leaked at ACToys. Leaks these days only seem surprising due to less frequency. Long gone are the days of Armada trilogy and 2007 movie/ROTF leaks you could count on, on a weekly basis. Biggest leaks since some production moved to Vietnam wasn’t even through the typical sources, it was actually through Hasbro’s customer service department stateside with listings for a wide range of product, not just Transformers. Would’ve been cool to see Jolt and Sideswipe earlier. Both look okay but I want to see if this Sideswipe has improved tolerance over the 1st SS Sideswipe and if Jolt has better joints than the ROTF deluxe(I have the DOTM deluxe too but I’m not big on it).
Another leak before an official announcement, Hasbro is really bad at this! Jolt looks cool! At least we know his figure now exists.
He does have waist articulation, wow! Nice catch. I like that with both him and Grindor they're actually improving things the second time around on what is otherwise an easy / no brainer retool. That said... when I zoomed in to look at the waist, the car roof seems to be hanging down pretty darn low... hope it's mistransformed.
Well back to the topic: The Dark of the moon toy got the back kibble nicely, but the entire front it's completely inaccurate. (Aside from the thighs) The Studio Series version reminds me of the original deluxe with all of the messy kibble going on the back. Though i feel like the ROTF one got the shape of those pieces better. Personally i don't think none of them are better or worse than the other, although the SS has more detailed and accurate sculpt, it looks sharp. Yeah the entire back it's unfortunate but they still needed a way to store and replicate those weird pieces from the model, it's not good but i don't think it's atrocious.
from my facebook, here it is, how the rotf and dotm look properly transformed(still to this day i havent opened my lost age version, and i have the second rotf also unopened) sorry for the bad photo i never realized i took it out of focus
Oh come on, ROTF Jolt is just as much of a shellformer. I like him a lot, but he is definitely a shellformer and has some limits in articulation.
It is kinda funny that the vehicle mode side windows end up in the same spot as the DOTM deluxe, and both of them work pretty well as those long pieces you see sticking out the back
