Thinking about it, if Hasbro sales team whines one more time after this happens what can they really expect when they literally have these ready to be sold at any point but choose not to announce any projects they have which are done and ready, yet are happy to announce 10 minute fillers of a “new” version of a DVD, milking a line for all its worth and making it feel like a fatigue for the fandom (WFC), does reveal a part of the line-up for an anniversary (SS-86) and put those up for pre order same day, but then ignore the brand itself for possibly a whole month, ignore the fact there are other fans left with hands open as to what’s new for their sides of the fandom, this is where the leakers and international sellers save us the waste of time that is their pulse events, after the last one I won’t be wasting my time in the mornings for nonsense…I applaud the leakers for risking it all for us, hasbro shouldn’t even be allowed to complain that GRINDOR of all characters is released internationally partially due to workers or people with connections who want to give to fans what they want more than a company…Thanks to the leakers here I applaud y’all. Watch the marketing team cry when the next pulse thing happens when they really do it to themselves as a badly run company in terms of what to release or show…
From a glance the helicopters aren't too different. But the CH-53E Super Stallion is about 11 feet longer than the MH-53 Pave Low. Most immediate difference is the Super Stallion rocks 7 blades on it's rotor, compared to the 6 rotors on the Pave Low. Also, the CH-53E has a third engine just behind the port side engine, giving it an asymmetrical look. The Pave Low series has a FLIR/TFR unit on a chin mount, which is next to the refueling probe. As I said in a previous post from what I could tell the alt mode model used in the movie itself appears to be the Pave Low model. There's so few shots of it's alt mode that it's hard to tell. Though it appears that he is totally a CH-53E Super Stallion in the ROTF game.
Yup, that's exactly what I meant. If it's for adults and kids to enjoy they can have some violence and language, but I feel that Bay went too far in TF2 and up. It's Wheelie humping the leg while saying. "Say my name!" that I'm worried about with my kids. Yikes. Keeping it on topic, this figure is growing on me and I skipped Blackout so I'll most likely be buying him. I'm really impressed that they fixed the hands. It would have been nice to get more mold changes but that was a good choice. I have DOTM Soundwave so I'll put Ravage with him and Laserbeak. Close enough! Looking forward to a video review hopefully soon.
It's hard to tell without them side by side, but this Grindor toy is actually greyer than Blackout's was, right?
See thats something I didnt know. So this whole helicopter thing isnt even about movie accuracy ? Its a video game accuracy argument ? I get the video games had a fair amount of concept art only characters, but isnt studio series all about movie screen accuracy ? Why would they touch anything from the video games ?
Actually, my bad. Looking at it again yeah...the alt mode model in ROTF is indeed a CH-53E. Now that I'm actually paying attention, while it's difficult to see the third engine, the lack of the FLIR/TFR unit on the chin is a dead giveaway.
I have a sneaking suspicion that those hands on grindor were probably already made for blackout but was cut for cost cutting measures why do it now because they got the money from the first release
Sideways, continuing the Sideways/Barricade confusion from why back then. Or they could do a Dark of the Moon Barricade with more paint, swapping the spikey wheel for a Frenzy and a gun.
Studio Series Blackout and SS Ironhide are what made me collect SS after not interested in seeing the Bayverse movies. I just found the designs and the toys so cool. I don’t think will spend $50 on just a redeco so I might sell Blackout and upgrade to Grindor for the better hands. I’m not sure yet.
Did this dude have the exact same face sculp as Blackout in the movies? If so thats kind of lazy. I never watched the movie.
He was 100% the same model in robot mode, just larger. His chest even has Blackout’s Pave Low kibble, rather than the Super Stallion.
