Hopefully the pictures are self explanatory. I used (modified) Lego ball joints to fix one of the most glaring issues of the figure. See below: Tomorrow, I will do the same to his right wrist!
What did you use to cut the Lego piece, and what glue did you use to secure it in place? The odd wrists were pretty much the only thing holding me back from leader Blackout so I guess I'll have to pick him up now so I can try this lol
@John TheDestroyer thanks, here are all the tools I used: I used the blue handle wire cutters to cut the Lego pieces, and the exacto to clean up the cuts. I also sanded the areas where it would be glued for better bonding. And here's the glue I used: J-B Weld 0.705 oz. SuperWeld Adhesive-33120H - The Home Depot
@Hoptimus & @NemesisJazz thank you! I also sanded the rounded wrist surfaces flat in 2 areas with a disc sander to bond the Lego ball joint to the hand. See here: And how I did the rest: 1. Remove the outer wrist post, then... 2. Remove pin. It's a beast hitting the pin out (successful on the left wrist), so I simply cut the pinhead off and slid the hand off for the right wrist. Then I pulled the pin out of the forearm. 3. Using the cutters, I removed the socket end of the Lego part. 4. And glued it onto the forearm. 5.Cut off the peg from the Lego ball joint and glue it to the hand!
Thank you very much, my friend! I didn't want to wait until tomorrow to finish the mods, so here he is all finished.
