The belly button doesn't bother me as much as the butt crack on the T30 mold does. I trust they ditched that feature for SS86?

 

Yeah it wierds me out, since we get them from being born. Chins, abs, okay, but butt cheeks and belly buttons..no please.

 

Theres no such thing as a TM2 Optimus Primal.

 

Statues can have nipples and belly buttons and ass cheeks and all that shit. Are they "born"?

Why have noses and lips, for that matter? Also entirely unnecessary for a "robot".

It all just comes down to the nature of the design. There've been times when Transformers have hewed closer to human-like anatomy. Other times not.

I really don't mind the surplus of Arcees, I feel like we're just making up for decades of lost time.

 

I'll never understand why people get so confused about Cybertronian or fictional character design. Like, I've seen people on these boards get into heated discussions on whether they need noses and shit, like have people forgotten that the transformers are fictional characters that do not exist, yet they get so weirded out or just cannot understand that they are going to have human characteristics because human fucking beings made and drew them. Just to clarify, I'm not gonna bash anyone for thinking this way, but I do think it's a bit silly. Apologies if my post seems half-baked I suck at getting my thoughts together sometimes,

 

Probably a hot take but I still prefer ER Arcee over this one. I prefer a good robot mode over transformation and vehicle mode and I still think ER looks better in that regard since you can remove the backpack

 

So, I have been checking the underside of the vehicle





And I'm pretty curious about the arms compared to the T30 toy. I have tried to put the arms of the original in the same position as the SS86 figure but they just don't fit which makes me believe that they're just not hanging there and the shoulders probably transform differently.

Oh, and why did I use the Combiner Hunters toy as an example?



Because these hands are not worth a damn. I tried to put the Legends gun in them and she just can't hold it in a natural position and even if try to adjust it a little it just falls. SS86 Arcee's hands look way too similar to these but at least she seems to hold the gun better so hopefully there's an actual improvement there.

Obviously statues are built by humans but in lore transformers are not.

So They did exactly what I wanted them to do for a proper deluxe arcee. They took the generations release and retooled it. but i think they focused on the wrong things to retool. she didnt need a posable waist (it is nice though). the needed her backpack managed better, mostly the butt part. while this lower backpack is better in a way, its also just as bad as the original in another.

these images i think have sold me on picking this figure up, because i want to at least experience it for myself and compare it to my Legends Arcee, but i feel like its got the same amount of flaws as the orinal release that still keep it from being an actual improvement on the generaions mold.

also she lost dem thick thighs. a true tragedy of our time.

 

The point I was making is simply that Transformers' bodies can be sculpted that way if they want them to be. The presence or not of those physical attributes is not tied to their biological status, but just a matter of what they might find aesthetically pleasing, or a quirk of their particular genesis.

Blanketing it by saying "Transformers shouldn't have X, they're robots!" sort of sells short what Transformers actually are.

That's exactly what Cybertronians are: sapient/sentient autonomous robotic beings with thoughts, feelings, emotion, capacity for love and independent decisions. Why the hell do you think they have a culture and have been in a war for a VERY VERY LONG TIME lol. At least I think that quote was from the 07 movie.
