Those that got the T30 version Arcee knows that the buttflap piece can be popped off. I appreciated that. I hope this SS86 version also have the option of a reduced backpack since this is a retool of T30. As much as people complain about the ER mold, the one thing I do think the designer did right is the removable backpack. It's just a reality that at DLX size/price point, there's no way to design out the "car shells IS the backpack" problem.

I wonder when's the day HasTak would do an Arcee as a total figure without any car parts on her. Zero integration. Just flip the car over, push a button and Arcee launches out of the open car shell casket, but we get 2 super tooncurate toys for the price of 1! A transforming Transformer Arcee is for losers! LOL j/k.

The backpack is pretty noticeable but overall it's a solid Arcee; to this day I do think the T30 mold still holds up visually and this one easily tops it. Thankfully also since I had no interest in ER Arcee if I ever manage to snag the Lifeline/Ratchet two pack for not too much I'll have Lifeline and Arcee in unique toolings which'll be kinda nice.

Leaks way back when said we'll be getting a Voyager Ironhide at some point, so inevitably that'll be repainted for sure.

It looks better than the Earthrise one for sure. The car mode looks sleek and like there's some involvement in the transformation that's not tedious. The surfboard on the back and the lipstick have me feeling that I'll wait for a sale, though. My Arcee of the year remains the Legacy version.

Would really dig a Lifeline out of this version of mold, though.

Aside from being a bit underpainted, this Arcee is pretty damn sweet. I'm sold. Nice work!

Darn, the partial retool and better deco sells it for me. I liked but didn't love the t30 and this seems to solve some of the minor problems with that mold.

I had thought it was the Earthrise version, which I have Elita 1 and utterly loath, this feels like a breath of fresh air.

It's weird, this figure looks more like ER Arcee but doesn't use any parts from that figure.

Okay, I think we're all tapped out on 1986 Arcee toys for a while
    We've hit peak Arcee, guys
Between the still-popular T30 mold, the Masterpiece, the Cyberverse mold, the Earthrise mold, the Kingdom reissue, AND NOW THIS, I think we're officially at capacity for 1980s Arcees.

Pack it in, boys. Time to let Floro Dery rest.

I was going to pass on this but the pics here sold me. I keep wondering if that bottom white flap can be folded up or back. Just that one piece out of the way would greatly help the backpack aesthetics. Definitely more of a transformer than the Earthrise, which doesn't take much to accomplish. Really want to see a pic of this next to the ER with and without it's backpack.

I had the Takara version of the T30 once, which looks much nicer than the domestic release because of the deco, but the problem I always had with that mold was the hips. Just too pronounced for the character. This absolutely fixes the problem I had with that. I do wish they would have filled in the fender undercarriage holes.

Let me add, doesn't have a belly button that shouldn't exist on a transformer

Not wierd at all. I'll be taking parts off my t30, which already has Cyberverse arms, and see what works best. And then I'll add the toyhax we all know is coming.

I'm fine with it if it's actually an inherent part of the design. Like how TM2 Optimus Primal retains a chiselled human-like muscular chest in robot mode. It's just shaped armour, like a Roman breastplate.

Adding those stylistic elements to a design that didn't originally have them just for the sake of the designer's appeal, on the other hand, is a bit more iffy.
