    people i have a question

which of those 3 cassetteacons has the better mechabeast mode when it comes to the fact that each ofthe 3 turn into a bird like creature

the reason i ask this question is because i am considering repainting my g1 sqwuaketalk into being laserbeak instead

if anything i would think his avian form would be the most fitting animal form for laserbeak to have

this link will take you to the picture that got me started on the idea.

me i figure if i remold the tabs on the back of sqwuaketalks feet so they are instead a set of back mounted talons it would be a small improvement for the figuresa alternate mode

    what are your thoughts people?

Squawktalk superior. It has realistically-proportioned wings that are more articulated than the buzz-beak mould. AND it combines. That's impressive.

I know that it's your toy and all, but repainting a vintage G1 Squawktalk...dude, don't do it. Stick with Laserbeak and Buzzsaw.

I'd say that, while the Laser/Saw has the kind of iconic thing going for him, Squawktalk has the better alt. mode, and a really nice color scheme already. So, I'd keep the Squawktalk as he is, myself.

    thing is squawktalk aint vintage

as a matter of fact he aint even anywhere near mint for that matter

i found him loose and all scuffed up over at goodwill a while back
the joints were all floppy at first till i used a drop or two of superglue to fix that

odd thing is he was sporting laserbeaks cannons at the time

which in some part is what got me thinking that he would make for a better laserbeak figure wise if i went all the way in remolding the combiner tabs to be a set of rear foot mounted clawed talons and gave him g1 laserbeaks colorscheme.

I see no reason not to go for it if Squalktalk was in such atrocious condition in the first place. And you've already got Laserbeak guns. Even if it didn't turn out to be a superior bird-spy, at least you'd have an alternative to the real Laserbeak.

I personally feel Squawktalk is the better bird. I'd be interested in seeing what the final look of the thing is.
