One thing I didn't get was why B-127 was the only guy without a name, but rather a serial number? It felt like it didn't fit with the rest of the movie, like it was a leftover point from a previous script that they had to leave in so Charlie could name him.

 

Agreed. Hailee is really an amazing actress. Until BB I had no idea who she was. Great choice in casting all around.

He was in there in like two separate scenes, hard to miss. I even spotted him before they said his name. I could tell the dude was Simmons just by looking at him.

I know. My least favorite part of Prime. Poor CJ has become Hasbro's expendable bot.
Why not a bot who's not as much of a player, like Windcharger or Beachcomber.

Totally. I'm calling this a parallel universe. There are elements picked up from the Bay films, like Sector 7, and then there's completely opposite bits like Bumblebee absolutely not having fought in World War II and the reason everybody's on Earth having nothing to do with looking for the Allspark.

 

Im not gonna lie i was hoping this was a prequel but after seeing this im so excited for what comes next. Wish the cybertron scene lasted longer but overall i was very satisfied by seeing the og bots in action! Also rip to my boy Cliff, what is it with lieutenants getting ripped/cut in half?

 

Yeah, but no one else had a numerical name. His name would have been Yellowbolt or something, rather than a serial number. I don't know, maybe I'm the only one who was bugged by that (pun intended lol).

 

One other thing: do they memorialize Chester Bennington? I know we lost him between The Last Knight and Bumblebee.

I actually retract my earlier statement, this is a reboot... or terrible writing. I say just start here. I forgot(like an idiot) that bee was on earth during WWII... these films came out of the same writers room, unless they went back and now made this a reboot that’s dumb...

However this movie is so amazing just use it as a reboot regardless! Please!

The shot of prime and bee on the bridge about killed me, gorgeous! Been waiting over 20 years for that shot!!!!

 

Oh! One last thing, I promise! How does Back to Life (Hailee's song, I assume the credits music) sound in the theater? It sounds great in my car, especially that very first hit, so I imagine it'll make me cry in the theater.

 

No, that bugged me too. Everybody else has their classic name, but this guy is "B127." Another example of how this was a different movie when they started making it and didn't smooth out all the weird discrepancies that cropped up when they switched gears.

 

The ending of the movie directly contradicts the 2007 movie, let alone the 4 sequels.

Whether "soft" or "hard," it's a reboot.
