Exactly. This will just be the prolouge, and, like the first two films, will likely have Prime narrating it as well, even if there are a few human lines of dialogue included.

Then we get pretty title screen saying 'zomg Transformers 3 yey!' and then big action sequence.

... Well this has some promising possibilities, but can we all agree that Bay needs to be killed so Speilberg can direct the movies because this is a great idea. I salute you Speilberg the only time you fucked up with aliens was Crystal Skull... which is still less of a fuck up than ANY of Bay's mistakes.
Let the E.T. expert call the shots!!! (that was a pun and a serious comment :p )

Anyone else having a hard time evening caring about TF3? ROTF left such a bad taste in my mouth, so far the only thing TF3 has going for it for me is Alan Tudyk

Barricade in full espionage mode = WIN

    And Bonecrusher hates JFK.

A prequel for the first half hour could actually work since all the cons are already there minus a Dormant Megs.

Brawl,Bonecrusher,Blackout and Barricade could get a lot of screen time looking for the Allspark.

    Sounds really interesting. :D

I wonder - this probably means that the moon is where the Seekers were hiding for oh so many years, and they gradually came to Earth, one by one, and it's in the 60's when humans finally catch something. Hell, the SR-71 Blackbird was developed in the Early 60's, so maybe Jetfire will get a brief appearance.

I seriously hope they have Cosmos in the movie,as he is loooooooooooooooong overdue
for a return, and not that wimpy legends size either.I want him to be atleast basic size, but
even better would be a deluxe or voyager size like seaspray.

Also I am getting a very strong G1 feeling about TF3,with all the news going around like
Primes Trailer,Bee's old datsun altmode, and now with this news.I so can't wait for TF3
    next summer.

I'm thinking Mars has a more definite tie-in. The "Face of Mars" could be a long dormant crashed Cybertronian (Unicron), Beagle-2 being destroyed by a robotic form if it got too close. As far as the guy with the briefcase stating that the robotic structure of the one on Mars and the one in the desert, aka...Blackout, was the same only tells us that they were similar enough to believe they have the same origins. After all, all humans have 2 arms, 2 legs, and such. On an alien world WE could be considered "the same structure" in terms of a species.

Transformers history intertwined with Human history. Haven't we been down this road before?? Sounds ******ed. Duh, Michael Bay's in charge.

It's wonderful how each TF sequel has to "create" backstory at the beginning of each movie to propel the plot along. Maybe Mr. Bay and his writers should have crafted a more complex and dynamic plotline at the beginning of the series. FYI, the continuous recreation of backstory in any genre or series only weakens the overall story. Personally, I'm more excited to see new TF characters that receive few lines and little to no character development, so that Sam's new love interest can become as "fleshed out" as Megan Fox's character.

It's funny, because I read this via RSS, so it wasn't blocked out. Usually spoilers are also hidden by using lots of line breaks so that you have to scroll down to read it, but it was kinda right there for me to read. Not that I care anyway. It's just another ******ed Transformers movie by a ******ed director with a bunch of ******ed actors.

So many movies "make up" backstories for sequels it's not even funny. Bay is no different and any of the multitude of directors out there when it comes to this.
