    So, now that we know Megatron and Starscream escape in the end of the movie, or, most likely will escape...Who thinks that Shockwave is being setup to be the main antagonist for TF3?

    My reasoning: Shockwave is the total opposite of Megatron, cold and logical, a totally new and different kind of bad guy for the movie-verse.

    First of all spoilers are not abound in this post and second of all I can't think of anything more anticlimactic than to bring in Soundwave as a leading character for part three.

    I'm thinking Unicron for part three. ROTF is set up to be a movie to stand on its own and they are pulling out ALL the stops. Let them set up this Masterpiece and let's enjoy the now because I hate to think of the difficulties to top what they are coming out with now.

    I said Shockwave.

    And mentioning the ending of what happens to Megatron and Starscream is a spoiler. Plus, I put that in title in case other people post spoilers. Kind of like, preempting a possibility.

    He said Shockwave...not Soundwave. I like the idea that Shockwave is the next villian. Unicron won't be give justice in the film verse and it may be too much for the non-transformers fan to handle in a film already about giant robots. Planet robots seems like the story is getting carried away.

    Oops, my bad! he said Shockwave! But still we're getting The Fallen and Devastator in this movie, that's really big! I can't still think of a beeter character to bring in than Shockwave like Galvatron.

    Oh, I don't know where you heard that Megatron and Starscream get away in this film, but I still don't think it's a major spoiler. That's like saying Optimus Prime and Bumblebee 'get away' in this one too.

    We've already covered a lot of ground with the first 2 movies (sure, the second isn't out yet, but obviously from the trailers it goes all over the world and brings in combiners and dark gods and such). I think to top it they might try leaving Earth during the 3rd movie; go to other worlds, perhaps even Cybertron looking for remnants of the Transformers race.

    This also seems to be the most plausible way to go in TF3. However, this may lead to the inclusion of Primus and Unicron in the action/story. If they are only projecting a three-movie franchise, this would be the perfect scenario to conclude it in TF3.

    I don't think that Shockwave is epic enough to be the main villain of TF3. He could be a powerful side character but not the main guy. Maybe the Quintessons? But that would take some MAJOR CGI to pull off believably.

    Jeremy Irons for Shockwave if he does show up. That alone could be epic.

    And I agree. No Unicron. Unless they go with the original ending for TFTM. Optimus uses the Matrix to kill Unicron, not Rodimus.

    I don't know why, but the thought of seeing quintessons on a (non-animated) movie just doesn't seem very appealing.... If you need more CGI, why not to bet on Cybertron + Primus/Unicron?

    I like the idea of Quintessons. I would like them to be in league with an evil Transformer. Either Unicron as the original intention in the '86 movie was, or have Galvatron being a Decepticon seeking to replace Megatron with the aide of the Quintessons. Making the Quintessons a techno-organic race would be interesting. I just hope none of the movie writers decide Headmasters are a good idea.

    I think a giant planet eating transformer is a bit much. I think Unicron in some fashion is OK but it needs to be done right with that good balance of science fiction and fantasy/mythology they are doing in the films.

    I think,IMO, the only plausible way to have Unicron in the movie would be if he were way out in space controlling someone or something going on elsewhere.He should NEVER be near the earth or anything like that.Maybe if they wanted to introduce him, he could just be way off in space controlling matters else where.Like how he "made" Galvatron look for the Matrix and all.

    I think for TF3 we will see

    A majorly upgraded Megatron even more villainous than before, as it seems his pride takes a hitting in this movie.

    Decepticons waging all out war on earth

    A possible Decepticon super weapon in space

    Things Id like to see:

    Now that Transformers are out in the open, there should be the building of Autobot city

    Battle in space, and possibly a voyage to Cybertron

    I think, what should be assumed is that Bay and co. need to up the ante on Scale even more, so we should be seeing Robots even bigger than Devastator

    this may sound like a stupid idea but Unicron could be a secret super weapon that "eats" the planets by stealing their resources/life forcebut idk...

    Um, no... Unicron should never be more/less than a power hungry, sentient God.

    Third movie should have the new threat of Shockwave, Triple Changers, and Galatron. possibly Unicron, as i think as the movies go on, bigger and badder villains are needed.

    also possibly either a new combiner, or new Contructicons to make a new Devastator with new limbs, but old head, torso, and possible another limb. so its different!

    Actually this would be Bay's wet dream...a remake of Armageddon.

    Unicon = Asteroid
    Matrix = Nuke
    Optimus = Bruce Willis

    He sacrifices himself to save Earth.

    Too true.

    I know you're joking here, but Unicron on a smaller scale is the way to go, I think. I've said before that he should still be the same character but have a reduced scale -- down to small moon or something. Or is that a bit Death Star?
