I don't know how many of you are seeing the premiere tomorrow, seems to be a pretty exclusive event. However since tomorrow is the first official screening of the film, I thought I'd start this thread now. Basically this thread is for people who have seen the film to give their overall opinions and thoughts on how the film turned out without giving spoilers so people can get a general idea on what to expect before walking in the theater.

 

Nice thread idea. It's going to be such a struggle with social media / the TF online community to not accidentally come across spoilers or something that ruins the mysteries of the film.

Might bookmark this one thread and avoid the rest of the forums / website for a while. Still want to know people's view on it / comparisons to the first trilogy etc.

 

I was thinking about doing the same. It will be hard because I need to wait until July 5th but I really don't want to run into any spoilers like I did with the Sentinel one in DOTM. I want to be fully surprised and blown away with this one.

 

Agreed. I saw the words "Sentinel tried to enslave humanity" on a forum, causing me to be wary of him for the whole film. Ruined the surprise a bit.

 

Yea, I read someone saying that he kills Ironhide and then I was wary of him too and then as soon as Ironhide and Sentinel where together I just knew what was going to happen before it happened. I really hate spoilers with a passion so I am going to stay in this thread and just really hope nothing pops up where it shouldn't be and spoils everything.

 

The premiere is happening right now I think. It's the 19th in Hong Kong right now. The time change really confuses me

 

It will be in a few hours, 9:30 PM for in Honk Kong. Hear in Florida it will be 9:30 AM which is great as I get to wake up to it. Right now in Honk Kong its like 11 in the morning.

 

Should set my alarm to 9:00am.

 

Well, I am seeing the film on the 25th next week and I want to avoid as much spoilers as possible. The death with Ironhide in the comics was something I completely denied until the movie happened.

who else is exited? I go to sleep in an hour or so (its 12 in the morning) than sleep late until 9:00 than I come on here and watch the freaking premiere!

 

Finally! I was waiting for this thread to appear.It will be nice to see people's opinion on the movie.When the reviews start,I'll become even more excited!

 

Okay i'll start, No Spoilers, the movie has a great cast apart from Joshua Joyce and Lucas who were annoying....like big time, Drift was a great character wayyy better than i thought, the effects as always were awesome, Lockdown resembled his TFA a ton apart from he was darker, Kelsey Grammer was great has the "Human Antagonist" Marky Marky had a ton of fight scenes which was a huge step head of Sam, the Dinobots do transform and their "Origin" story was cool not gonna go into to much but it fits the part so to speak, Optimus was different in this movie but in a good way, i felt empathy for him it was pretty emotional, the Autobot cast was the best we've had they all had a huge amount of screen time, the introduction to Cade and company was priceless   i actually liked Bumble bee in this movie and my friend called me crazy   Not everyone talked lets just leave it at that, Galvatron wasn't that impressive they could have done better things with him, Crosshairs was funny but could be kind of a dick sometimes. In the end i enjoyed it very much it was the best sequel the've made, but there were some parts that contradicted the others and i will admit it was great but not perfect

Thanks for the review! The main thing that worries me is: "Galvatron wasn't that impressive they could have done better things with him". But most of the other stuff sounds good or great. Really can't wait to see it.

Thanks for the review now I'm disappointed about Galvatron that he wasn't useful but I'm still looking forward for this film  . And was the humor stupid?

EDIT: Strangely what you say about Galvatron doesn't bother me all that much. Probably because there are so many other awesome characters to see in this movie, lol

 

The biggest question is of course will the Dinobots talk?

 

Some questions - keep the answers as spoiler free as possible:

1. Does Galvatron have more than one fight scene?
2. Are there any major surprises or twists in it?
3. Do we see transcanning?
4. Are there non-genericon deaths?
5. Is there any obvious way for a sequel(for example at the end of ROTF it was obvious there would be a 3rd)?
6. Is Prime over powered like in TF2 & 3.

 

I just want a yes or a no if any of the Dinobots talk.
