If one or more of your gear has a duplicate ability, do they stack? For example, could I run even faster with three of that particular ability or does the game only recognize me as just using one?

They do stack, but the duplicate ability gives less than half of the effect from what I've heard.

I jumped the bandwagon too. Screw Call of Duty, Splatoon is the new cool shooting game that for once does not encourage terrorism but tame property damage and for once it's a shooting game that's not a First Person Shooter which means I can play it with no problems .

Aiming controls needs to getting used to.

A couple of places I've been reading are thinking it's real. Rumor is there will be a free DLC coming that adds a new Delfino Plaza map for regular gameplay, and locked behind the Mario Amiibo are a set of new 1v1 missions where you try to paint a map while Mario cleans up after you. You need to have painted 51% of the map or more before the clock runs out to win. Mario-themed gear is the reward just like it is for the current Amiibos.

Also, that Mario may be a hazard in the Delfino Plaza map. Randomly going around cleaning up everyone's paint. And if you blind him with paint, he wonders towards the opposite team's area for a few seconds.

No idea if this is actually real of not, but I could totally see Nintendo doing this.

I have a feeling something like this is going to happen, since Splatoon is the polar opposite of Mario Sunshine, but I think Nintendo might just give us a F.L.U.D.D weapon, and either some Mario clothes, or the Shine Sprite styled t-shirt that you get for a completion bonus.

Is anyone else getting constant connection issues? Ever since Wednesday night I can't even finish a single damn match without "You do not currently have a connection"

EDIT: restarting my router and Wii U might have helped. I've been able to finish 2/3 matches instead of 0/3 matches.

My body is ready for a Mario and Fludd costume.

As someone who loves Sunshine but hates how they implemented Fludd in Smash Bros., I'm all about this.

So the brush seems pretty terrible. Just went against a team that had 2. I'll let you guys guess how that went for them.

Like, it would probably be pretty fun to slap someone to death with one, but everything about it seems awful.

Well, they're playing it wrong then. The brush is perfect for ranked and taking on charger weapons, they can't eke up with your speed whatsoever.
If your team manages to take over a whole section of the map and you have ninja squid, the quick stealth kills are insane.

Best comparison I can make is a melee scout class.

The paintbrush is physically uncomfortable for me to use. The ZR button is annoying to press rapidly.

So, anyone got any tips they wanna share? The one that changed up my game the most was having the squid button pressed at all times (unless you're going over grates).

Use the Aerospray RG as soon as possible, it turns Turf War into easy mode and you can get 800+ points each game without even trying
