i like it KA. although don't say McFarlane to Twin Twist, he'll go mad and eat the internet. here's one i pencilled earlier. i am undecided on how to colour it, i feel it could work as the alien costume,but my attempts to colour it that way have been lame. my colourblindness hampers me. plus i think the proportions are slightly out on the hand...
ooh. i like the shading. gives it a silver surfer effect. good call on the alien effect. 1st thing popped in my head when i saw that. (btw am struggling with self trying to convince self to buy those 4" marvel showdown figures but i just spent the little money i had on cyb downshift) omg i just had a spiderham idea *grabs sketch pad*
cheers KA, the inking is where i usually let myself down so i just pressed VERY HARD with my pencil. i also coloured it in the blue and reds, but there's no web detailing. like ultimate spidey's first costume.
lol! that reminds me of an issue of spiderman. i forget which one, but someone says "who are you?" and spidey says "I'M BAT.. *ahem* SPIDERMAN!" *edit... if i can find a decent pic of one of those gargoyles on the chrysler building , i'll stick it in there. maybe the statue of liberty even.... ps. someone colour my spidey to look alien costume!
done, rather hurriedly, with a mouse in paint: the issue you mentioned above, thats actually in that issue with the hulk and spidey had these cosmic powers where he can fly. *wonders if spidey's scatalogical sound effects go 'thwip!'
haha i lol'ed. love that smile on the last frame. getting funny looks from work colleagues now. ah yes! i recall, he punches the hulk into orbit. that was mcfarlanes last issue right? wierd one, i never read any issues after that. if ALL of spidey's muscles are super stong, the "scatalogical" sound fx probably sounds more like KA-BOOOM.
i have to mention another great spidey drawer: charles vess. i have that issue with wendigo in it, spidey in black costume. ooh.
