    Looks fine with me, the red and blue one. The red and yellow is just plain ugly though.

    The only way that costume could be any uglier is if the mask had 8 eyes.

    Which, if he's really turning more spider-like, he should. Also, giant fangs, and fuzz. Bring on the fugly!

    Looks nice, but blue doesn't really work as well as the primary color for normal Spidey.

    He won't even have to Negatorpack his ass. Starks tech is cool, but it is clearly stated in Ultimate Galactus Issue 1 that Stark needs a huge support staff to take his suit anywhere, and it doesn't even have those complex robotic legs. Peter will be able to use the suit for a couple of hours max without serious help from Stark Enterprises.

    But this isn't the Ultimate Universe. Or does the same Iron Man rule sapply? I didn' tthink 616 Tony needed help with the suit.

    I don't think the "Ultimate rule" applies as the main universe Tony carried around his suit in a friggin' suitcase a while.

    I may be wrong, but I didn't think the black costume was around that long. I remember the symbiont was gone before Secret Wars was over...

    OK, here we are - Black costume appears in 1984, Venom in 1988 (which spurred Peter to ditch the BC for good). Hadn't realized it lasted that long, though now that I think about it, he spent a couple of years alternating between black and red/blue.

    Anyway...

    I don't like the new costume at all, even though I grant it is appropriate. I've not read SM comics in at least 5 years, so clearly I'm not the target audience. Still, this whole thing simply smells of the Clone Saga. The storyline sounds okay for a few months, but if this goes over a year I think it'll be a disaster.
